Believe the negative reviews, he must have paid for the positive ones

I agree with everything the other negative reviewer said. He was incredibly rude, dismissive and didn't listen to a thing we said. On top of that he didn't even bother to look at the evidence. He assumed guilt right out of the gate and forced the person I hired him for to plead guilty to something he... didn't even do. He had no choice and Casey did nothing to help him. He would threaten me if I called him about the case and was incredibly mean and judgmental. I think he's past his prime. He's been doing this job for too long because he lost all empathy years ago probably. I'm pissed at the other lawyer that referred me to him and told me how good he was. Apparently he's a great trial lawyer but god forbid you don't go to trial! then you're SOL. After banning me from talking to him about the case he actually called me and (with my attorney present) tried to convince me to convince his client to be cooperative. Even my attorney thought he was a jerk. I paid him 7k for NOTHING. I feel like he owes me a lot of my money back and he basically stole my money from me for what he did. I should report him to the state bar on top of this review.

Because you posted anonymously, I have no way of knowing which client you are referring to, or, whether or not he/she is actually a client of mine. Nor am I allowed to respond specifically about a client's case. In general, I would say the following: I am responsible for protecting a client's confidentiality and that means I cannot discuss a client's case with someone other than the client. Your friend was fortunate to have you pay his/her legal fees, however I have a duty of confidentiality to the client, not the person who pays the legal fees; this is always explained to any third party who pays for a client's legal fees and is included in the client's legal services contract. By State Bar rules, I cannot discuss a client's case with anyone other than the client. All cases are thoroughly reviewed, investigated, and the client is provided with a detailed analysis including all legal options precisely because I have conducted many jury trials and I have a good understanding of the risks involved. Only a tiny fraction of criminal cases ever result in a jury trial. A good attorney is able to foreshadow what will happen at a jury trial so that the client can decide whether to risk going to trial or, alternatively, whether to avoid that risk and accept a plea bargain. No client is "forced" to take a plea bargain, the Judge goes through a very lengthy examination with the client at the time of the entry of a plea bargain to make sure that, among other things, the client 1) understands everything, and 2) that they're making their decision of their own free will. You claim that I never included you in the representation, how then are you able to comment on the quality of my work? If I kept you in the dark, how would you even know? Why are you complaining about the quality of my work instead of the client? If I "stole" your money why aren't you making a legal demand and reporting me to the State Bar or law enforcement for theft instead of posting anonymously on a review site? I invite you to report everything to the State Bar. They will conduct a full independent investigation of the matter. This investigative process protects the public and also protects attorneys from false accusations. I am confident a State Bar investigation will conclude that your claims are untrue.

Worst attorney ever

If you want to be treated rudely and yelled at and not have your calls returned or not have him show up in court and not tell you he was sending someone else this is your guy! He has the worst manners I have ever dealt with ! When you first meet him he tells you what you want to hear and takes your... money but look out! Threatens you and more! I ended up hiring another attorney because I could not stand to take to him! He would say he was going to see in hail and would not go it was just lies!! Worst ever in my life ! I have never been talked to in my life like he did! And I am a professional myself! Do not hire him unless you want to be abused! I should have reported him the the bar but honestly I wanted nothing to do with this man again ! I just now posted this because I wanted to worn people about him!
