I contacted Tyler on behalf of my niece on an urgent basis. My niece was out of state and California had refused to accept her documents in response to a child custody battle when she was trying to go pro se. Tyler said he would talk with her right away for $500 and give an assessment of the case. I ...sent the $500, he did provide an assessment that basically said there was not a lot to do until the hearing and quite frankly we didn't feel like he was on my nieces side at all. Because we felt we had an emergency situation (my niece lost custody of her daughter to a guy she never married, and the child had never lived with to a home where the child was sexually molested and my niece never got to file a response or see the mediator's recommendation prior to the hearing - and the mediator continued mediation with the baby daddy after my niece hung up the phone) - we asked Tyler to proceed with his recommendation for a 'set aside motion' and asked for some clarification regarding the temporary order and how it should be handled because it was unclear and we just never heard from him again. Very disappointing to spend $500 that we didn't have right before Christmas and then be ignored and have to start from ground zero on finding another lawyer and bringing them up to speed. We are thankful though that we did find a good attorney who is actually on our side.
