I work extensively in Family Law, including domestic violence restraining orders. I have litigated numerous cases involving all aspects of divorce, custody, support, division of property and separation.
I began my career outside of law by working as a mechanical engineer followed by 12 years in the finance industry working as a trading specialist researching and preparing firms for trade disputes and mediation. I used my years of detailed work experience in pressure filled environments to better suit the demands of my clients regarding court hearings, trials and mediation by shielding the clients from stress.
My method is to hear your problems and issues and then outline them for both of us in deciding the course of action we will be taking. To best serve the client and case, I do my best to give an open and honest assessment of the situation especially if the tough answer isn't one the client wants to hear.

Avoids complex issues and client abandonment
I found Mr. Janke on thumbtack. He is a new attorney, previously being an engineer. Quite a change... His rates were reasonable for me, as a low income single mother with a disability. In our two hearings, I believe I was well represented. However, I asked several times for his help to vacate our M...
To read this review is disappointing considering we represented this client twice and both times we forgave about 25% of the remaining bill and we got good results. The last time we represented this client it was for a trial where the spouse was looking to terminate post-judgment support, and we won. Both times we represented this client it was on a limited-scope agreement so there was always the ability to pursue the set-aside of the MSA with other counsel. In fact, it was advised to do so. Last month I was contacted for another hearing and then was again requested to handle the MSA set-aside as a side issue. Again we made it clear to consult another attorney for the MSA matter and in fact to get a 2nd and 3rd opinion. During this last contact requesting our services and to set aside the MSA, we were not the attorney of record and therefore did not drop the case for a more lucrative client. In fact, we offered to handle the upcoming hearing as before but advised on getting a 2nd and 3rd opinion elsewhere for the MSA. We take pride in representing our clients and we get results no matter how difficult the issue. If we cannot help with your case or we are not the right fit, it shouldn’t be personal. If you want an attorney who is honest and realistically sets client expectations, our firm is a good place to start your search.
"I endorse this lawyer. Mr Janke is an incredible lawyer that is knowledgeable, very trustworthy, and has zealously represented his clients."
"I had the pleasure of working as opposing counsel with Mr. Janke on a particularly hostile family law case. His knowledge of the law and the his background in the finance industry came in to play to set the stage for a great resolution for the case. You want a smart guy on your team and I highly recommend Attorney Janke - you want him on your side!"
"I endorse this lawyer. Tyler is an outstanding attorney. Clients who hire Tyler are in good hands."
