While every one of our clients has specific concerns and goals, there are certain questions that come up often, which include: How can I efficiently pass my assets to loved ones? How can I ensure that my minor children will be well-cared for if something happens to me? How can I ensure I will get the care I need if I become incapacitated? How can I ensure a loved one with special needs will get the best possible care? We help provide solutions to these questions, and more.

  2. Elder law
    40%

Matthew Crider grew up in Texas and moved to California because he didn’t feel he was paying enough in taxes. OK, it was also because his wife, a California native, refused to move to Texas. But Matthew brought his Texas gentility to Cali with him.

Matthew has distinguished himself in the field of law in both Texas and California, where he’s licensed to practice. When he had a case go to the U.S. Supreme Court, however, it was rescheduled because another matter was deemed slightly more pressing – Bush v. Gore. Go figure! (The Crider name goes a long way, but it isn’t quite as powerful as the names Bush or Gore.)

Matthew loves his work at Crider Law Group. It requires forward-thinking and creativity to come up with the best possible solutions for his clients, who call Matthew “dedicated, thoughtful, and compassionate.”

At the firm, he provides a wide range of estate planning services, advising individuals and families how to protect themselves, their loved ones, and their financial assets. He says there’s nothing more rewarding than helping people protect themselves and their loved ones at any stage of life's journey.

Matthew works with men, women, couples, seniors, young families with minor children, families with special needs children of all ages, entrepreneurs with business considerations, and established families.

Matthew frequently speaks to public and private groups on a variety of legal issues. He’s active in the community as a member of Wealth Counsel, Elder Counsel, the Sacramento County Bar Association, Placer County Bar Association, and Yolo County Bar Association. He’s accredited by the Department of Veteran Affairs to assist veterans in filing claims. He’s also a member of Rotary International.

In his spare time, Matthew loves to spend time with his wife and two young children. He’s an adventurous and active sort, who loves camping, snow shoeing, and traveling – especially if the trip involves cycling. But since his kids are currently little, the cycling travel is on hold until they’re a bit older. Then, those kids are in for a treat!

Estate Planning
Matthew Crider did a great job !!! My wife and I needed estate planning and a living trust. Our goal was to have our assets avoid probate. Mr. Crider did an excellent job explaining the process to us and prepared all documents quickly. The process was done within a few months and the cost was reasonable. We definitely feel better that our family is prepared for the future.

My experience with Matthew Crider was beyond my expectations. Considering my personal circumstances, Mr. Crider was very thorough in covering what he felt I may want to incorporate in my trust. I felt completely at ease and very confident with his advise and most of all his kindness. I would highly recommend Matthew Crider to a friend if in need of an attorney for a will or trust.

Very Satisfied
Very pleased with my experience with Matthew. Matthew set up my estate plan documents including my Trust, Will, Living Will, Power of Attorney and Advance Healthcare Directive. At the end of the process he delivers a binder with all original documents laid out and all instructions to fund the trust. He also included an electronic copy of all documents. Matthew was responsive to my questions and explained every step of the process.

Knowledgeable, Friendly, Helpful
My husband and I attended a dinner seminar at Season's Restaurant that Matthew books in a private dining area at the restaurant. Not only was the dinner great, but the seminar itself was very informative and Matthew made it really easy for us to follow along as he explained the procedures of how to create a trust. We still had a few questions for Matthew so he invited us to dinner again (at Season's) so we could fully understand how he would prepare a trust for us. After attending the second seminar (and yes, another delicious dinner) my husband and I realized that Matthew Crider was the attorney that we wanted to prepare our trust for us. The overall process was relatively simple -- Matthew met with us in his Davis office, explained the process of the paperwork he would need, how we could obtain it and what the fee would be to prepare our trust. Any time we had a question or problem, either Matthew or someone from his office was available to answer our questions. I really liked the finished project; everything neatly contained within a binder and tucked away up on the shelf. Matthew will meet with you every few years to go over the information in case you have a life change; so far we have not had to use that service. I was so pleased with his work, I recommended my sister-in-law use him as her attorney to prepare her trust.

Great Place for an Estate Plan
Matthew provides the experience and knowledge to construct a complete estate plan; not just a will or a trust. This is exactly the service we were looking for, and we were very pleased with the result. He's friendly and very easy to talk to.
