I needed a civil harassment restraining order to protect my family, so I filled one out on my own down at the local superior court. The filing process was pretty straightforward and the temporary restraining orders were approved, but then the other side lawyered up and filed their own restraining ord...er against my family. Talking to his senior paralegal Shaun the first time, I knew this was the firm for us; they saw our situation and completely agreed with our point of view. Of course, Mr. Ortiz's firm totally knew how to respond to motions and filings from the other side, and were able to handle all the legal maneuvering that I could have been blind-sided with. On the day of the court hearing for the restraining order, Mr. Ortiz personally showed up to help us through the day. He was able to say all the right legal words during court, and then explained our options to us in plain English. In the end, we got what we wanted. Also of note, Mr. Ortiz's firm has very transparent pricing and a breakdown of how they use funds out of their retainer fee. Other firms were not as transparent with how they would use their funds, which made me feel uncomfortable that I could end up spending thousands of dollars more than I really intended to with a less positive outcome to our situation.

Jesse Ortiz isn't a good attorney I know know many people that have fired Him because he just doesn't care after you pay him I made the mistake of having him represent me in trial for a gun case this man left an ex police officer On my just also the wife of a different police officer On my ...jury 100% against my wishes I verbally said to him also a family member said we do not want them on my jury and all Mr Ortiz had to say is I like him Needless to say I was found guilty with the Ex police officer being the formen of my Jury this should never ever happen Jesse threw my case he just plain didn't Even try to win telling me he couldn't question The arresting officer to hard because the jury Laughed at his Joak and wouldn't like it If I question him hard Jesse should get the DA's MVP Award Don't make the same mistake I did Find an attorney that will fight for you And try to get found not guilty Or atleast get you a good deal This isn't the guy I promise you that The Public Defender would have done a Better job
