Disappointed client
I retained Ms. Bansmer and paid legal fees with the expectation of competent representation. The services paid for were not meaningfully performed, no refund was issued, and I was billed for emails and calls that went unanswered. Communication was sporadic and often nonexistent for extended periods o...

intelligent, aggressive, insightful and thorough
Ms.Bansmer and her colleagues are detail oriented and work hard to find every way in which you may benefit from the laws regarding your case. They will fight for you to get the justice you deserve when the other party lies and refuses to comply with what the court orders. They stick with you every st...

suprised
After reading other reviews I thought I was going to get good advice and service. I was told to bring cash, and was not helped at all. They never let me know if the other party was served. I had to fill out the court docs myself and have never received a promised invoice.
Requiring a client to fill out portions of the court forms serves two very important purposes. The first is to have confidence that all facts have been shared with the office. The second is that the client can have the assurance that all information provided to my office will be disclosed. I personally review every document submitted by a client, revise and prepare it formally prior to being submitted to court. Both myself and my staff have reviewed every email and written request for an invoice over the last few months. I do apologize, however, we are unable to locate any request that was not fulfilled. If you are truly a retained client, you have been provided with my direct email and I would appreciate if you can contact me directly to discuss any request, questions or concerns that you may have. I always respond to my client’s concerns, whether it be personally or through my staff. If you were possibly a flat fee client, then no invoice would be sent unless specifically requested. Once again, I encourage you to contact us directly. My staff and I have been highly praised for our professionalism, and I am confident that given the opportunity, we can resolve any issue that you may have. Thank you for your time and I wish you the best.

very professional. a fighter
Great attorney! She offered a free 30 min consult and gave me a pay plan when it became hard to pay. She is a bit distant. Did not want to get to know me at all, which is fine but felt kinda cold. Her assistant, Amanda, was also very helpful and attentive. They fought for my case beautifully. Could'v...
"I endorse this lawyer. Erica is a bold and experienced family law attorney. I worked with her in my office and as opposing counsel on a few cases. She does good work."
"Erica is very knowledgeable and assertive but also honest with her clients about realistic expectations. An attorney that will will fight for their client but and give theman honest assessment of their case can be hard to find."
