also known as COENENBERG FAMILY LAW
Jennifer was admitted to the California State Bar in 2009. Her background stems from various civil matters all the way to criminal matters, formally working for the San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office. Her path has led her to the area of family law, which is now her primary focus. She handles all family law matters, including dissolutions, legal separations, spousal support, child support, child custody and visitation, guardianships, grandparent rights, and premarital agreements. Her experience allows her to bring a distinct ability to understand and relate to people at the most fundamental level when representing her clients, both inside and outside the courtroom. She strives to resolve matters in the most amicable and efficient manner. She is a skilled advocate, getting straight to the critical issues with effective results. Jennifer provides dedication to each and every client.
Jennifer is a wife and mother to three amazing children. She enjoys her sports-filled weekends with her children. She also enjoys being quite active herself, having been a competitive athlete since she was a child. Her athletic background has been a great asset to her in her legal career. She competed as a Division 1 Springboard Diver for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and after completing her eligibility she was not quite done so she decided to walk onto the Track and Field team, competing the 1500 meter event. She continued to run numerous races after college until she found her love of crossfit. She and her paralegal, Maureen, have enjoyed excelling at partner crossfit competitions. Jennifer was also selected to compete, and did compete, in the 2016 and 2017 seasons of American Ninja Warrior on NBC.

Jennifer is an ethical and fierce advocate. Our case was very lopsided with the odds stacked against us. Jennifer came in and evened out the playing field. With her by our side, we were able to accomplish our case goals and more. Jennifer deserves our gratitude at the highest level. She cares about h...

I very seldom do reviews, however I believe it would be a disservice to not share with others the service Ms Coenenberg provides once she is retained, she is empathetic, yet about the business at hand she will be with you every step of the way, and get the job done in a kind yet professional manner,...

We have had the most difficult time trying to get responses from Jennifer. We were once put on hold and then told she was at lunch then never recieved a call back. She did not explain the process at all which left us always feeling confused. We had to drop off the SAME paperwork 3 times before they f...
I believe I know who this is and I wanted to clarify and provide other insight as to this review. If there is one thing I will say about myself as well as my office it is that we are extremely responsive. I may not always be able to get back to people the same day but I always get back to them. I don't recall ever simply not returning a client's phone call. I also am overly communicative about procedures to ensure my clients know what is going on each step of the way. I would never tell anyone to simply give in to what their ex wanted, especially without any justification. I will always discuss the options and the likelihood of success given the facts presented to me. If you took that as me telling you there was no way for you to succeed in your request, I apologize only for that miscommunication, but it is my job as counsel to truly counsel my clients from a legal perspective on the likely outcome of their matters. I believe you came out very far ahead in some aspects of your case, and am sorry if you disagree with that. As far as concluding your dissolution, an agreement was reached outside of my office after numerous unsuccessful attempts to reach you and when we attempted to discuss the agreement you stated that you simply wanted the matter to be done and signed. I ask for you to please reconsider your thoughts on the matter. I understand there are certain aspects of your matter you were not pleased with, but I am happy to discuss any other concerns you have in person or via telephone so as to clear up any further issues.

Legal matters in the area of divorce can be complicated, emotional, and overwhelming but Jennifer made me feel at ease at every step. She communicated and consulted with me making sure I understood what at times can be very confusing in family law. She is professional, considerate, and knowledgeable ...
"Jenny is a strong lawyer and a zealous advocate. She is hard working and she gives thoughtful advise. She will be an effective advocate for your cause. I endorse this lawyer."
"Ms. Coenenberg is a very hardworking, skilled attorney. She is well respected in the community for her knowledge of the law, and is able to represent those who choose her well. My interactions with her have proved that she treats clients with great respect, acknowledging and placing to rest any concerns they may have. Further, she has shown that very little will stand between her and what her clients desire in the family law process. Though the area of law in which she works can be filled with hate, animonsity, and tension, she is able to break through that and achieve great results for her client, while making them comfortable in the process. This is of the utmost importance for anyone going through the divorce/legal separation/child custody process."
"Jennifer is a very intelligent and honest attorney that makes an effort to be as fair as possible in her billing. She has great potential and will be a major player in the family law field for years to come."
