This attorney was appointed to represent my "best interests" but because of his purple nose issue, this attorney should have Just Said No but didn't because over the next 7 years he took $50,000 out of my college fund and it wasn't until my brother became an adult that I was able to address the court... and move 3 hours away from Walter Hsmmon. This attorney ruined my childhood on purpose and now I am writing this review cause sooner or later people, we kids get to have a voice

Walter can't remember anything said to him and doesn't use email at all, so putting something in writing for Walter to remember means writing an archaic letter. Walter's staff loves letters. His secretary will write you back three letters for each one you find time to write. You aren't hiring an atto...rney when you go to this office. You are hiring his staff, so make sure they have coached Walter well before any hearing dates before a judge or just let Walter repeat the same lines he has used for 30 years before. I heard him repeat the exact same words over and over again in my case and they were totally unrelated to what we had previously discussed. Your case is no different to Walter than the hundred or so he has heard before. I don't think Walter would even recognize me if the date and time hadn't been set in advance to meet with him.

I was Walter Hammon's client for way too long and still owe him money that I won't/can't pay. Walter's office would write me 4 to 5 letters a day, none of which I wanted written, and none of which Walter was aware of, and none of which came from him. All of the 500 plus letters I received from Walt...er Hammon's office were from Nicole, his secretary who loves to write in length and bill for what she writes. This attorney is not available to you, The Client, but you will see him in court constantly and he is hard to miss because of the numerous high school rings on his fingers, his huge red beard, and he is also very tall and very thin. This attorney should be avoided if you have children and want them to grow up healthy and happy, loved and cared for by their parents throughout difficult times brought about by divorce. Jack

Without a doubt, hands down, absolutely the best Family Law Attorney's in San Jose, CA. While other lawyers are reading about current trends in family law Walter P. Hammon is setting trends. It is true that Mr. Hammon is VERY well respected amongst his peers and Judges alike. Very well respected. Hi...s demeanor is calm, his thought process is clear and concise, and he maintains the highest integrity. It is true that Mr. Hammon is hard to reach, however realize that his profession is in the legal field not psychological field. Mr. Hammon's job is not to hold your hand but rather to work on the legal aspects of your situation. Mr. Hammon is an excellent communicator as he often sends 3-4 page letters detailing your case. On numerous occasions I would open my mail box to find between 5-6 letters from Mr. Hammon specifically addressing minute details of my case. In an event of legal importance, Mr. Hammon's office makes every attempt to contact you. Word of advice: Write Mr. Hammon letters in response to his letters. He will/does read them. BTW: Every commendation I give Mr. Hammon I also extend to his staff.
