Biography
I was born in Oakland, CA.
I attended college at the University of California, Davis. I graduated with a major in English and minors in Math and Chemistry.
I attended law school at Lincoln University. I graduated in 1976, first in my class, with a juris doctorate and was admitted to practice in all of the California State Courts and the Federal Courts in 1976. I was admitted to the Washington D.C. bar in 1978.
I taught Business Law at San Jose State University from 1985 through 2010.
I have practiced exclusively family law for the past twenty years.
I am a member of the State Bar of California, Santa Clara County Bar Association, International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, and Collaborative Practice Silicon Valley.
I sit as a Settlement Officer Conference pro tem and/or a Settlement Conference judge pro tem once a month.
I was voted one of Silicon Valley’s Top Lawyers in 2001 - 2007 by San Jose Magazine.
I have been married for 34 years. My wife, Suzann, is also an attorney. We have two grown children; a daughter, age 30 and a son age 28.
I jog, snow ski, mountain bike, fly fish and make my way to Napa, Tahoe, and Hawaii at least once a year.
