Michel Rene Huff

I obtained hufflegal through legalmatch. Greta called everyday, everyday, everyday telling me how great Michel Huff is. How he is an ex-police officer and knows all the judges. Once I agreed to a consultation, a different lawyer calls and says I have a case. Then Sherry starts e-mailing you daily to ...get your retainer. They say my attorney will call you in 2-3 days. Once you pay your retainer, silence. No more calls from them. Then when you start complaining, they start billing you. Then they tell you you don’t have a case and refund you $500. This is the way they conduct business and they get away with it.

In December of 2022 I retained Michel Huff to handle a case in which a Costco tire center released my car to an unknown person under suspicious circumstances. An out-of-court settlement with Costco was the goal. Other than the initial phone call, after paying him a $5000 retainer, I never again he...ard back directly from him. I had several phone conversations with his PI, and some messages on his Clio website. Between February 2023 and April 2023 I phoned Huff's office three times to ask for a status report. Each time I was told my message would be passed along. Each time I did not receive any communication from Mr. Huff or his office, and was told that he was very busy. This pattern led me to believe that my case was being ignored. So, I phoned his office and told them so, and asked for a refund of my retainer. They did issue me a check, and an itemized statement listing services rendered and their cost of which were deducted from my refund. The problem is that I was never informed that these services had been performed. Had I known that they were actually doing something, I may not have released Huff. Based on my experience with this attorney I would not recommend him.

Huff helped me 3 hours away from where he resides and the entire process was so smooth even without working this case in person. He has a large team and they’re all working towards the same goal, to get you the client, heard and understood. Might I add that while I spoke to a few different individual...s throughout this case, the communication remained intact and organized. Someone was always available to listen to me and emails were always answered. When it came time to be presented in court, Huff brought his A game and again, demonstrated professional communication with the judge, especially in comparison to other attorneys who were having their cases heard. Everything went according to plan with Huff and our case was won! Would definitely use Huff and his team again if needed in the future and I will recommend him to everyone seeking an attorney!
