I never thought I would ever say these words, but getting arrested for an alleged DUI was a blessing in disguise for me. BAC of 0.13 (blood test) allegedly going 100mph on the highway when I was stopped and arrested. I had never thought I'd be in handcuffs, let alone go to jail. A few months ago, I made the poor decision to get behind the wheel after having a couple of drinks. I was stopped by CHP just a few blocks from my home, and it was all downhill from there. Getting charged with this DUI was probably the most stressful experience I've had in my life, and not one that I... want to put myself through ever again. I am a law-abiding person, and I had the bad luck of getting arrested on the suspicion of DUI in Oakland. This was probably the worst experience in my life, and I still get jitters when I think about the incident.
