Attorney Thomas Fleming graduated from Yale Law School and UC Berkeley; taught as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Law School; taught criminal trial skills, in DUI and criminal cases, to future prosecutors and defense attorneys; and taught UC Berkeley undergraduate law classes about the U.S. Constitution, the courts and politics for over 20 years.
Thomas also served the community, in DUI and criminal cases, for over two decades as a Trial Attorney with the Public Defender. He successfully took many, many cases to jury trials, and developed a very special expertise in defending against DUI and criminal charges.
Thomas earned a reputation for consistently winning very excellent results for his clients in DUI and Criminal cases.
It is quite traumatic to face the serious consequences of a potential DUI or criminal conviction. Thomas' combination of (1) academic knowledge of the law, (2) his excellent record in defending against DUI and criminal charges, and (3) his background of spirituality, non-judgement, honesty and his sense of mercy and compassion -- all make an extremely persuasive and effective advocate.
He cannot take every case but invites you to contact him for a free consultation.

"I endorse Mr. Fleming. You can tell from his thorough responses to questions on Avvo and sage wisdom that he has the passion and compassion necessary to be a fine advocate. He spends his own time giving advice to the Avvo community and that is something worth noting."
"Brilliant. Yale law, UC Berkeley undergrad, current law professor and UC Berkeley professor. Trial tactics professor. 20 years as a public defender which means fighting in the trenches. Prosecutors know that he knows what they know. Experience really does matter. Knowledge of both criminal law and procedure is outstanding and evident in his pro bono contributions. Client reviews are stellar. READ THEM! If you are a potential client and want the best than this is your man. Do yourself a favor and schedule a consultation. If your lucky he might agree to represent you. KUDOS"
"I endorse this lawyer. It is very clear from his experience and his contributions that Mr. Fleming is extremely knowledgeable and highly competent. I wouldn't hesitate recommending him."
"Attorney Fleming is a true counselor of law. His grasp of DUI law, procedure, science, and trial tactics make him the go to lawyer in Contra Costa County for your DUI issues both criminally and administratively for DMV purposes. Attorney Fleming was my professor of trial tactics in law school and it was my pleasure and extreme luck to have learned from him and to have been exposed to his experience, intellect, and legal knowledge. For criminal law matters Attorney Tom Fleming has over 20 years of experience in negotiating terrific dispositions through settlement and if necessary being more knowledgeable and experienced than the opposition for purposes of winning at trial. You can do no better than Lawyer Tom Fleming. I heartily endorse this attorney."
"Thomas Fleming is a very personable attorney. He spent over 20 years defending clients as a public defender, and now works in private practice. He is quick to stay on top of matters and will push prosecutors and judges to ensure the most advantageous situation for his clients."

"I give Thomas Fleming my highest endorsement. I've seen him in action, and he is one of the best criminal defense/DUI lawyers around. He is also a very nice person, extremely smart, and cares very deeply about the fates of his clients."
"I endorse this lawyer. Tom is a sharp and personable lawyer with an extensive background in criminal defense. He is able to explain legal issues in "plain English" and truly cares about his clients. I would not hesitate to recommend Tom for any criminal defense case."
"Attorney Thomas Fleming is a colleague of mine, and I know him to be an outstanding criminal defense attorney. He was a trial attorney with the Public Defender, an adjunct professor of criminal law, and still teaches law-related classes at U.C. Berkeley. He provides the very highest level of criminal defense representation, and I give him my very highest recommendation without reservation."
