Generally, I do not write reviews, but I had to create an Avvo account and write a review for Thomas Fleming. This guy saved me. My story: I am a boring, law-abiding citizen. The closest run-in I had with the Law is getting a ticket for running a red light years ago. I have never even gotten... a speeding ticket. One day, I had a few drinks with friends at my usual watering hole and made the mistake of driving. I didn’t drink a lot, felt perfectly fine, and lived literally less than a mile away. I was pulled over for making an illegal U-Turn at a light. Keep in mind, I lived in the same area for a few years and have never noticed that “No U-Turn” sign. I felt I passed the field sobriety test and took a breathalyzer. I scored a .08. The two officers looked at each other after my breathalyzer because they knew I passed the field sobriety test. I was then handcuffed and taken to the Station for a DUI. At the Station, I took the more accurate Intoxilyzer and scored a .07. I knew I was not drunk. The officer still charged me. After the ordeal, I was in a panic the following day and began researching for lawyers to help with my case and that was when I found Thomas. One phone call with him and I knew I had to hire him. Thomas was emphatic, confident, and re-assuring. Talking with him immediately put me at ease. He explained to me the situation and the next steps. Based on the information I provided him, he was confident that he would be able to get my case dismissed. The first thing he did was address my hearing with the DMV APS. This enabled me to get my license back. Next, he contacted the DA and was able to dismiss my case like he originally stated. He’s a man of his word. At the end of the day, I made a mistake. I found myself in a very unfortunate situation and did not know what to do. I came across Thomas and decided to give him a call in a very unsure time. Last Thursday was one of the happiest day of my life. Over a year ago, I was arrested for an alleged DUI of 0.14%. This is pretty much double the legal limit. In June, I got into a late night accident, thankfully with no injuries. I blew a bac of .08. A lot of lawyers I spoke with were hesitant about taking my case because they aren't sure what results they can get especially since my case involved an accident. During the process, the judge said, "I have only done the Helmandollar only once before" and then he grants me his career high second Helmandollar plea. I got an acquittal on my dui. Truly amazing! Thomas had also lined up and explained to me different strategies if this second court appearance did not work out. I am very thankful for him to get me this result, an incredible feat. Other lawyers are flabbergasted with his achievements and what he is able to do in court. I highly recommend Thomas Fleming, an exceptional, intelligent, and personable lawyer. One of a kind.
