Looking for a top-tier attorney, Daniel Feder is the one

I cannot express enough gratitude to Attorney Daniel Feder and his team for their outstanding work on my case. This was a wrongful termination matter that spanned nearly four years—from April 2020, to December 2024. Throughout this long and challenging journey, Daniel and his team demonstrated unwav...ering dedication, professionalism, and exceptional attention to detail. Dan guided me through every step of the legal process, consistently checking in to ensure I felt informed, supported, and reassured. His expertise in wrongful termination cases and deep understanding of employment law were evident from the start. Most importantly, he took the time to truly listen, which meant a great deal to me during such a difficult time. Despite the emotional toll the case took on me, Dan never wavered. He remained steadfast under pressure and delivered powerful results. If you are looking for a top-tier attorney who is sharp, reliable, and unshakable, Daniel Feder is the one you want in your corner. In addition to his legal acumen, Dan is personable, engaging, and incredibly responsive. From our first meeting, I felt completely at ease with him. He was patient and generous with his time, always ensuring my questions were fully answered. Dan’s extensive experience as an employment attorney was especially evident in his early assessment of my employment contract. He clearly has deep knowledge of employee rights under a range of state labor laws. It was truly a pleasure working with Attorney Daniel Feder, and I am deeply satisfied with the outcome of my case. I highly recommend him to anyone in need of an employment lawyer.

Must meet attorney for your own good!

I went to meet Dan with a very heavy heart because I feel I was forced to resign and my boss set me up! After I left his office, I feel so light and happy again. Dan is an amazing attorney because he not only answered all my questions but also provided me all the possible solutions and lots of legal ...knowledge on how to protect myself in the workplace. He is also happy to file some forms for me for free for one of them solutions. He is not the only attorney I went to meet after I lost my job but he is the best!

No transparency

I was a client of Daniel Feder. He was my lawyer in a retaliation wrongful termination case from 2011-2013. He and his associate Winter Hankins are terrible. First he is only concern with his 45 percent and his cost. During the early settlement hearing he stated recouping his fees as a reason the cas...e should be settled. He arrived 30 mins late to the hearing. I had to speak to the reasons the case should be settled. In an early settlement both parties writes statements which are given to one another. I was not permitted to read the defense letter. Mr. Feder stopped reading it placed his hands on top of it and started talking of his wine business. In addition I never was allowed to see any evidence against me nor documentation. I request several times and each was met with a no followed by some manipulative excuse as to why. I was never kept in the loop I knew nothing of my case. In two years not a single one of my phone calls were returned by Winter nor Daniel not ONE! One day near the end of the lawsuit Winter called me frantic speaking hastily at work and told me that they had just returned from court with a case very similar to mine in which they lost. If I would agree to go down they would agree to give me a certain amount. Basically I got a little more than a 1/3 of the settlement. When I tried to question Winter as to why I got so little she went off. She told me he had taken a hit on the case and each deposition was 3k. I asked for a receipt she rolled her eyes and stated that she would give me one. After pestering her she emailed one two days later. Eventually I opted for a fee dispute. The arbitrator could not believed I signed the agreement. They produced an entirely different receipt for the hearing and Daniel stated that it had been given to me and I did not ask him to divide the award in a better way. Apparently when a client is not satisfied with the fees they are supposed to be given a fee dispute notice or form. They never gave these documents to me. Nothing in this review has been exaggerated.

A Champion for the Cause

I hired Dan Feder when I was wrongfully terminated from my job after complaining of management practices at my company. I contacted many lawyers, but there was little money in this case. For me, it was not about the money, it was about making the owner stand up and notice what was happening in his ...company. Scores of lawyers turned down my case and many told me simply that any settlement would not be worth their time. For some reason, Dan Feder accepted this case that was too small to be of interest to anyone else. That is when I learned of a lawyer who really championed those who were too small to fight the fight. That is when I learned about Dan. I learned that Dan. Feder is an outstanding lawyer. People say the only good lawyer is your lawyer. I disagree. I would respect Mr. Feder from either side of the argument. Mr. Feder is an aggressive lawyer who will work hard for his client. But he balances his aggressive nature with respect for people on all sides of the argument. This is demonstrated as Mr. Feder works to help his client achieve success, but also actively works to tone down tempers and give good suggestions about being a reasonable person. By the time you need a lawyer to get involved in a dispute, your temper will be hot and your words will be sharp. This lawyer knows how to soften your weapons and use his own in a way unlike a butcher, and more like a surgeon. Eventually, my employer was called to mediation. I was still angry and I did not really want anything other than to make this experience a miserable one for my former employer. I was irritated, angry and short tempered. Mr. Feder gently let me know that I was not acting professional. I was acting like an idiot who should have been fired. Through all of this, he remained professional, helped me to keep my cool and we managed to get the job done. The settlement was minimal in comparison to some of his previous successes. In the end, I realized that the reason he took the case (while others did not) is because he had the ability to take a small case, help a stranger who could not fight a legal battle, help me achieve my goal. The employer took note. Changes were made to the company after I left. I am certain this was due to the lawsuit. In the purest sense of the term, Dan Feder was my champion. I did not have the legal skills to fight for myself. He fought for me. He changed a system that was broken. This medical company is better now that it was before. If you want a man who will champion your cause, Dan is the man.

Highly Recommend -- You Can Do No Better!!!

Dan represented me after I was wrongfully discharged from my long-term job because I took a protected leave to care for my ill mother. The employer violated my rights to take medical leave under the California Family Rights Act. The defendants played hardball, and tried to intimidate us. Daniel wa...s not deterred at all. He stood up to them at every stage. By the end of the case, the employer and its attorneys were the ones who were intimidated. They feared Daniel and paid dearly to settle my claims. Daniel is a top-notch plaintiff's employment attorney who represents employees in San Francisco, Alameda, San Jose, Marin, Contra Costa and San Mateo. Soon after I retained Daniel, I watched him at a boxing competition at the Third Street Gym in San Francisco. Dan was one of the heavy weights, and came out toward the end of the competition to fight a frighteningly larger opponent. Suddenly, I began to see this match as a metaphor for what I was up against in my employment discrimination lawsuit against a formidable team of corporate lawyers. Suffice it to say, Dan KNOCKED 'EM OUT IN THE FIRST ROUND and that is exactly the kind of David and Goliath situation one finds oneself in when standing up to abusive employers. Dan is definitely the employment attorney who can outsmart, outfox, and knock out the competition, no matter how formidable they might appear, who can give you the strength to keep fighting when you are scared and may think there is nothing left to live for. He works hard, is patient, and does not give up. He listens to you, respects you, and makes you believe in yourself again. I would very highly and without any qualification recommend him to any employee seeking representation against a former employer in a discrimination, harassment, wage and hour, or leave case.

I also appreciated how professional and efficient his staff has been in handling client communications and other matters. I have so much faith in Feder and his team that I have referred many cases to his office over the years.
