Fast turn around, clear communication - highly recommended

Siegwart Law was recommended to me for questions with the German Beibehaltungsgenehmigung and I am gladly extending this recommendation to a broader audience. After starting out with a simple question, I quickly decided to have Siegwart Law handle the task completely. Easy communication, fast turn ar...ound and clear instructions lead to quick success; that combined with a simple and very reasonable fee structure made the interaction very pleasant. Two thumbs up.

Grateful and impressed!

I called Mr. Siegwart with low expectations, after all, why would a lawyer help me for free? My German father recently died and I, as someone who has lived in the US for 35 years, was at a loss on what to do as the heir to his small estate. I called Mr. Siegwart's office and explained the situation a...nd, to my surprise, was immediately connected with him. The death of a parent is never easy and it is especially challenging when they live half way around the world. Tending to my father's "nachlass" was stressful and I felt very alone and had a long list of questions. In a 10 minute conversation, Mr. Siegwart gave me guidance, shared basic legal information, provided insight into the process and was very empathetic in hearing about my situation. Mr. Siegwart is clearly knowledgeable, intelligent, and kind, which is a tremendous combination! As a result, I now know how to proceed and find closure in the death of my father. I am extremely grateful to Mr. Siegwart and would recommend him to anyone seeking legal support with German or US affairs. Thank you, Mr. Siegwart for your willingness to speak to me and for your guidance. I am grateful beyond words!

Beibehaltungsgenehmigung

I reached out to Holger Siegwart regarding acquiring dual citizenship (the dreaded "Beibehaltungsgenehmigung"). After he explained the process and potential complications thoroughly, I decided to retain him. Mr. Siegwart is handled everything to my utmost satisfaction, was personable, diligent in his... work and communicative during the entire process. His fees were more than reasonable and I would not hesitate to turn to him in other matters.

German Inheritance

Mr. Siegwart handled a German inheritance matter for my family. We were initially contacted by several heir locator firms, all of which who wanted an outrageous fee. Upon discovering Mr. Siegwart & his expertise in such matters, I contacted him for a consultation. He promptly returned my call, too...k the time to discuss the potential process, and gathered some initial facts. Mr. Siegwart then verified the information with the German courts and contacted me with a suggested plan of action - all of which was done at no cost. After speaking with Mr. Siegwart a couple of times I was confident that he was the correct person to handle the matter. Over the next year and a half Mr. Siegwart guided us through court processes, documentations needs, executor issues, tax filings and banking matters. He always provided us with a suggested plan of action along with the expected outcome so that we could make an informed decision on how to proceed. Mr. Siegwart routinely followed up with the necessary parties to ensure progress was made. His guidance, approach & ability to communicate allowed us to conclude the matter in the expected time frame and for a fraction of the cost. It was a pleasure working with him, we are grateful for his expertise and highly recommend his services.

" Beibehaltungsgenehmigung" Support

Mr. Siegwart assisted me with my "Beibehaltungsgenehmigung" application last year and I can highly recommend his law firm. He is not only very professional but also trustworthy and reliable. Communication was excellent and Mr. Siegwart returned my phone calls personally and in a timely manner. I will... not hesitate to use his services in the future if needed.

Relationship: Worked together on matter

"Mr. Siegwart is the attorney to call on for transnational legal issues involving US law, on one hand, and German/Austrian/Swiss law, on the other. I'm an attorney and I sought his advice on an issue that arose in a probate proceeding in Vienna. Austrian counsel was stuck on a choice of law issue, and Mr. Siegwart was familiar with the problem and gave us expert counsel on how to break the log jam we were facing."
