My divorce was final in August 2016, after 2 years of lackluster and substandard representation by another attorney whose name I won't mention. I spent most of my time during my divorce waiting for answers, responses to offers, and what should have been client service but almost never was. I called m...y (previous) attorney countless times, emailed and sent text messages. More often than not I was angry and frustrated with the service (or lack of) that I received. Things were even worse when we went into our mandatory settlement conference when my attorney let me get beat up and battered by my wife's attorney, all while nothing was done to cover me and protect my interests. In fact, there were many loose ends and a whole lot of vague "language" that didn't clearly spell out what the proper division of assets should have looked like. Basically the final decree that was stamped by the judge and filed by the court, left entirely too many things open to interpretation and caused alot of issues when it came time to "enforce" the court orders for specific assets.
