I received mostly unhelpful service from Mr Les Paredes and the Law Offices of Stephen D Hamilton in my divorce and child custody case. My case was very complex. Your experience may vary. Mr Les Paredes is a very nice guy. I think this law firm may be better at servicing simple, straightforward... legal cases that require less attention to detail or effort in order to achieve justice. I needed robust service from an attorney who genuinely deeply cared about achieving justice for my children and myself. It was very clear Attorney Paredes decided I wasn't a priority for him, potentially because - "the System" - has loopholes and flaws that were unjustly utilized against my children and their needs by my ex-spouse from the start. I believe achieving justice for my children was more work than it would have been worth for this firm. So, my children and I were deemed a waste of time and were neglected. I don't blame Mr Paredes for the systemic flaws in civil law. I think Mr Paredes is a good guy, and -- for the most part -- civil law failed to achieve justice for me and my children due to systemic shortcomings in civil law. However, I think Mr Paredes and the staff at The Law Offices at Stephen D. Hamilton don't put in much effort for their clients. So, if you need a lot of effort from your attorney, you will likely be better served by another law firm.

I am proud to say that I am a recent former client of this amazing attorney. I have never been in any serious trouble with the law. I was facing multiple felonies and several gross misdemeanors with a possible life sentence. I had been assigned a previous attorney that, without my knowledge, had d...one nothing to help me. Not one, single thing. That attorney left his firm and, as God would have it, I was assigned Lester. Despite the prosecution's (and my previous defense attorney's) constant fumbling of my life in their hands, Lester made sure to piece together my side of the case and successfully work out one of the best plea deals I could ever have hoped for, His thorough knowledge in legal logistics and confidence in his defensive approach kept me assured that I would see a great outcome. In reading this, one needs to understand that facing multiple felonies & multiple gross misdemeanors, combined with the threat of automatic life in prison, I felt backed into a corner with no one to hear my voice. No one that cared. Lester changed all that. From the very beginning, he presented himself friendly, attentive, always took notes and always gave me every possible option. He was always a phone call/text away. With his negotiation skills in full swing, the prosecution's case began to immediately crumble. I accepted a plea deal that ultimately turned into 1 gross misdemeanor and a very short probation. Considering where I started, this is an amazing offer. I never even got arrested thanks to Lester's countermeasures and always staying one step ahead of the prosecution. This man is more than an attorney. His passion to help the public and his sincerity towards my life being threatened was more than I could have ever imagined. I didn't know good people like this existed...but here is one of them. I will always remember this man because he saved me from a legal system that doesn't work with you, it works against you. This lawyer really fights for your fair existence and will protect your rights to continuing your life. Because of Lester, I have another chance at life and I will always be grateful. Always.

Lester Paredes is a terrific defense attorney. We have been fighting our case for 7 months using another attorney, and unfortunately, he was not as good as Lester, although he has 10 point rating. My husband had been put in jail on 2 separate occasions with our old attorney never even fighting to kee...p us free or objecting to any evidence presented against us. We were beginning to lose hope of ever being able to be free from jail. Lester, without skipping a beat, got my husband out of jail and was able to successfully argue to keep us out of jail.
