About me

Mr. Logue is a premier real estate attorney who represents clients in a broad range of residential, commercial, business and agricultural real estate transactions, disputes, ownership issues, land use processes and real estate-related civil litigation matters. He is routinely engaged by buyers and sellers of luxury residential properties, office buildings, shopping centers and large ranches and vineyards. Mr. Logue negotiates all types of real estate contracts, including easements, leases and co-tenancy agreements, and has managed ultra high-end construction projects.  Transactional clients appreciate his strong litigation and dispute resolution background.  In addition, Mr. Logue assists property owners through entitlement, development and land use matters. He has made numerous appearances in front of public agencies, such as the Board of Supervisors, City Council, Planning Commission, Zoning Administrator, Agricultural Advisory Committee, Historical Landmarks Committee, Single Family Design Board and the Montecito Board of Architectural Review.  


Mr. Logue handles a wide range of primarily real estate-related complex civil litigation matters, including specific performance, failure to disclose, breach of contract, fraud, misrepresentation, commission disputes, quiet title, interference with easement, prescriptive rights, and view blockages.  He represents clients in civil litigation matters ranging from wrongful death to civil extortion, and lenders against defaulting borrowers who use the courts and bankruptcy code to delay trustee’s sales. 


Mr. Logue frequently represents landlords in tenant disputes, unlawful detainers and short-term vacation rental issues. He was recently a featured speaker at the 2015 Fundamentals of Landlord-Tenant Law Seminar on the topic, “Screening Prospective Tenants Effectively and Legally.” 


Mr. Logue has a unique expertise in handling Hollister Ranch real estate and partnership transactions. He is a member of the Hollister Ranch Owners’ Association and served on its Board of Directors. 


Mr. Logue is a fourth-generation Santa Barbara-area local. Before returning to Santa Barbara to establish his practice, Mr. Logue worked in a number of challenging, dynamic environments, including London, Los Angeles and Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. 


Mr. Logue earned his J.D. from the University of Pepperdine School of Law. He is a member of the State Bar of California and the District of Columbia Bar. Mr. Logue graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Government from Claremont McKenna College and supports his alma mater as a member of the Res Publica Society. He currently serves on the Board of Directors at the Santa Barbara County Bar Association and as Trustee of the Santa Barbara Club Preservation Foundation.
