I have been practicing criminal defense in Ventura County California since I graduated from law school in 1996. I believe in charging a fair price for personalized service specific to your case and your needs. I always try to provide the following:
In other words...you are not my "client", you are my "customer".
I pride myself on personalized service and being available to you 24/7. I am local. I grew up in Ventura County and that is where I handle the vast majority of my cases.
Because I have appeared in the Ventura Courts almost everyday for the past 19 years I know the local judges, prosecutors and court staff better than almost anyone. In fact, I have appeared more than 19,000 times in the Ventura County courts.
If you are interested in discussing your case with me please free to call me at. I will answer the call myself.

Excellent Representation, Compassionate Attorney
I retained Mr. Tyler almost a year and half ago. My case was complicated by a slow moving DA and an "eleventh hour" filling. I was unfortunate enough to have caused a small bodily injury, so the DA filled the DUI as a felony. Ventura County is probably one of the worst counties to get a DUI and in...
Thank you Kelly. We made the best out of a bad situation. When you are half way through probation call me and I will see about getting probation terminated early. Then we can get your case expunged.

Unprofessional
Paul Tyler was a very unprofessional attorney he never explained that I would lose my gun rights for life before my plea. If I would of knew i was going to lose them i wouldn't of taken the plea i would have fought my case all the way
I’m really sorry to read this review. One thing I always try to do is make sure that my clients always know what’s going to happen at every stage of their case. But I really wish you had contacted me sooner. This particular case is approximately 8 years old. Obviously I always take reviews seriously and I’m really sorry that there was something you did not understand about your sentence. However whenever someone pleads guilty you are required to read, sign and initial a very detailed waiver of constitutional rights form. One of the things that you initialed was a firearms advisement.. Additionally at the time of sentencing the judge stated on the record that your firearms rights were being taken away. Moreover after sentencing was complete you were given a detailed minute order outlining the terms of your sentence. One of the items in that minute order was an explanation that your fire arms rights had been taken away. Now that you are off of probation and the case is almost eight years old there is probably nothing that can be done. Had you contacted me immediately it might have been possible to withdraw your guilty plea. It is unclear but unlikely that a judge would allow you to withdraw your plea at this late stage. Again I wish you the best and I’m sorry that there was something that you didn’t understood despite the various advisements you were given when you pled guilty.
