Joan Louise Collier

When dealing with a sensitive family law issue I believe it is important for a client to receive personal attention from their lawyer. Since 2002 I have been practicing law and I am especially proud of my efforts to help people through difficult situations.

I graduated Law School in 2002 with highest honors, receiving multiple academic awards culminating with being named valedictorian of my graduating class. I  passed the bar on my first attempt.

I developed an interest in family law while attending law school and interned for the Honorable Colleen "Toy" White in dependency/guardianship/adoption court.  As a result of my unique experience, my practice is committed to family law - I do not handle any other types of cases. I offer my clients a personal touch as we work together developing comprehensive plans for their futures, and the futures of their families.

At my law office, I understand my clients' concerns from several perspectives; being a lawyer, a single mother, and a person devoted to helping children.

Residing in Ventura County for over 18 years, I have strong ties to the local community and understand how family law issues can affect the everyday life of you and your children.  I have two sons and was very involved with their schooling and extra-curricular activities: including Little League, and AYSO Soccer.
