I was involved in a car accident in 2008 and hired Nico to help me though the process of reaching a settlement with the at-fault insurance company. This was my first time going through a lawsuit and was pretty intimidated. Nico was great to work with, he is very knowledgeable when it comes to perso...nal injury cases. I was impressed from the get-go. There were some complications regarding jurisdiction that needed to be handled in a timely manner in order to file within the statutory time limit. He knew exactly what to do to insure that we filed the lawsuit in time and that we wouldn't have any issues with jurisdiction. We went through mediation and it proved to be unsuccessful, which was a huge disappointment to me. Even though Nico warned that it was likely to not yield the results we were looking for, I was still optimistic about the possibility we could settle. This was the first time that I had seen him "in action" and I felt I was in great hands. When it came time for the defendant's attorney to take my deposition i was very nervous, to say the least. Nico did everything he could to make me feel at ease. I met with him the afternoon prior to discuss what I should expect. As awful as the all-day deposition was, it was clear that Nico was fully engaged, assertive and my advocate. Nico was able to gauge the where the other side was very accurately all along. When it came time to see experts in order to prepare for the trial, he spent a lot of time researching who would be best for my case. I absolutely loved all of the experts that I met with. They were all friendly, extremely professional and of utmost importance, knowledgeable and well-respected in their fields of practice. Thanks to Nico's diligence and thoroughness it was brought to light that as a result of the accident I sustained traumatic brain injury. I had not been evaluated for this prior to meeting with the experts. This proved to be a crucial part of my case. After our trial date was set, the defendant started to stall and Nico was all over it, he knew exactly how to read the situation and had a plan of attack. The plan worked, we ended up in a second round of mediation, and that time it brought us very close to reaching a settlement. Negotiations continued via phone after mediation ended and about 2 weeks later my case had settled. I couldn't have been more satisfied with the outcome. Not only had my case settled for a price that I felt was fair, I had also avoided going to trial which was a HUGE relief. I can't recommend Nico highly enough. He is fierce when it comes to his interactions with the opposing side, yet he also knows when to keep things amiable. I felt supported, guided and informed though the entire process.

I found Nico by accident, but thank goodness I did. He handled a wrongful termination case for me. Using his very sharp negotiating skills, Nico had me reinstated with back pay and an employment contract. I also received an apology and a raise. My reputation as a great employee has been restored, a...nd the person who wrongfully terminated me was rightfully terminated. None of that would have happened if I'd tried to handle it on my own. Nico kept me in the loop at all times, but even more importantly, he believed in me as he fought for my rights, and kept me in good spirits during my period of unemployment, when I didn't yet know how well it would all turn out.
