Attorney Mark Hancock did amazing work researching my case and ultimately getting the disability insurance carrier to accept my claim. My disability carrier for over 18 months sent me a monthly letter stating they are reserving their right and not accepting liability with the threat of requesting all... the money back. Mr. Hancock researched several cases and wrote the insurance a 6 page letter referencing specific cases and how they were applicable to my situation. The same day I received a letter in the mail from the carrier advising me I would need an independent exam I also received a call from my claims examiner telling me to disregard the letter for the exam they are accepting liability. It just so happened Mr. Hancock emailed and faxed his letter 2 days before. He did take my case prior to payments stopping. I know he did all the research himself and did not leave this to junior partners or clerks. He also agreed to charge an hourly fee vs a percentage of my benefit. I really thought that we were a lost cause, and had started to plan for the worst after experiencing substantial slab leak within our home. We had exhausted our discussions in working with our insurance directly and had come to a stalemate on what they would/ would not cover; resulting in no payment ...for a wet saturated slab not suitable for flooring/ rebuilding.
