I am a military veteran and a devoted parent with significant family caregiving responsibilities. I had an extremely disappointing experience with this firm, primarily due to their approach to communication and conflict resolution. Based on our correspondence, the child’s best interests did not appea...r to be the guiding principle. What was presented as a “request” was delivered in an unnecessarily aggressive and threatening manner, including premature references to sanctions and legal consequences before basic information had even been shared. Rather than facilitating cooperation, the tone appeared designed to intimidate and escalate conflict. This approach does little to support or encourage healthy co-parenting. There was a clear lack of transparency, with assertions made without supporting detail. When a co-parent asks reasonable follow-up questions or seeks clarification, that should not be reframed as noncooperation by a third party. Most concerning was the absence of empathy or professionalism during a period of known personal hardship. Instead of exercising discretion, the firm chose escalation over communication. While that approach may increase conflict, it does not promote resolution, trust, or good-faith engagement. Family law matters require care, accuracy, and restraint. Unfortunately, this firm’s conduct reflected none of those qualities in my experience. I would strongly encourage others to carefully consider whether an adversarial, pressure-first approach is truly in their best interest.

John Negley seemed to collude with the opposing party in my case. I went to court many times to find him chatting and laughing with my ex. He also spent $10k of my money in one month on "fees." John is an extreme conservative, both politically and religiously. He yelled at me in phone calls. If you d...o not follow his thinking on politics and religion, he will punish you for it through his failure to act as attorney protecting your best interests or those of your children. He gave into every one of the demands made by my ex and left me penniless.

I first came to John Negley's office in a desperate situation and in great need of help. His staff got me an appt the next day and John sat down with my husband and I late in his day and took a great deal of time listening and answering all of my questions. He was extremely knowledgeable and was very... upfront and honest about the process and what we were facing.
