I was referred to Jason who initiated the process. I sent a $3650 money order for his help in getting a loan modification on my upsidedown loan and didn't hear back for 1.5 months. I had to email daily/weekly for updates to get their attention and paid an additional $400 appraisal fee to one of his... vendors to "guarantee" the loan modification. I even got convinced to pay another $1k to try a second time with no results after the first attempt produced a denial. I was told they would try a 3rd time for free and never heard back. PLEASE just work with your local loan officer to get help for free. I just completed HARP 2.0 with our local loan officer at Wells and have a much lower payment than before. I used Jason Smith to stop forclosure on my home 12 months ago through a third party. All fees were paid upfront. There was no attempt to get TRO on the selling of my home while loan modification was addressed. I was told that there was not enough time to stop forclosure on my home which I feel w...as known before I invested my money on the fees. I made numerous attempts to get updates regarding my case and just got the run around. Mutiple submissions of required paperwork etc. I was told to hang in there and be patient. When all was said and done it cost me 2250 dollars to have my home forclosed on which would have happened for free. The response was it is not garanteed that there would be a loan modification. I understand that however if it was too late to stop the foreclosure I should have been told that up front instead of being given the runaround and my money should not been taken.

I have used Jason Smith for multiple properties over a three year period. My overall experience with him has been very impressive. Like the reviews, I read on this site, dealing with an attorney which truly knows the mortgage industry is the key to a successful modification. I have tried other law... firms without success, I believe they were unsuccessful due to not having the banking knowledge or contacts which Jason has. If you want to save yourself from a nightmare of red tape and endlessly dealing with incompetent people at the banks, then hire Jason Smith and let him do all the hard work. I can't say enough as today I was approved for my final investment property, with a new payment which will take me from losing $1,860 per month to a positive cash flow of $875 monthly.
