I am shocked by these previous reviews! However, I am aware that people typically write out of resentment, not sentiment. Richard has been working in his field for over 30 years, with fairness, integrity and, has gone out of his way, giving his time, in my families state of need. Please, do not read... these and be deterred. I'm 30 years of practice, there will be happy, but do not forget the thousands that have been Greatly served--from the beginning, until the saddening end. He will stick by you and give what he can. This is an honest man, who will not take advance of you, but follow through with everything he says. Thank you Richard.

If i could give this guy 0 stars i would!!! he is extremely rude in entirely insensitive about handling trust. A family member of mine hired him and when others in the trust called asking questions he was rude, talked down to each one of us, and didn't want to help at all!!!! Again i repeat STAY AWAY...!!! Trys to use scare tactics. Do yourself a favor and hire a lawyer who truly cares about his clients and isn't looking to make a dollar. Disgusting and terrible. Hint: this is probably why he doesn't have a yelp account also!!!!

My father hired Richard Mahony to set up a family trust after attending one of his seminars. After mom and dad died I was the successor trustee. I called Mr. Mahoney a couple of times for clarification and he was rude (called me 'honey'), abrupt, and dismissive. He said he would have to charge me if ...he did what I asked (fine with me), but said I could handle this myself if I just googled some documents. He couldn't wait to get off the phone with me. I happen to have my own revocable trust and know what a good estate attorney should do for their client. Avoid this one.

I had called on behalf of my mother, who is the trustee of her sister's estate; we were requesting simple clarification of a paragraph in the original will and trust that Mr. Mahony had created in 1993. He did not allow me to ask the specific request my mother had made; he told me to tell my mother ...that, since her sister was deceased, he no longer had a client. He said that if my mother wanted to engage his services, we could make an appointment with him and that he charges $130.00 per hour. He could, as a courtesy, have clarified the one paragraph, and he would have taken up perhaps five minutes of his time. It is my personal opinion that he could even have billed her for the five-minute clarification, which would have been approximately eleven dollars. I realize, however, that the $130.00 Mr. Mahony charges is a minimum fee. Needless to say, we retained another attorney.
