Professional, Honest Representation That Focused on the Facts

I had the opportunity to work with John from Ibrahim Law during my DVRO case, and I can’t recommend him highly enough. From the start, he was professional, straightforward, and focused on the facts of the case. He really embodied what a lawyer should be someone who advocates strongly for their client... while keeping the case grounded in the evidence. John and his team were very clear throughout the process that nothing in court is ever guaranteed, which I respected because it showed honesty and professionalism. Even with that understanding, they still put everything they had into preparing and presenting my case. One thing I appreciated most about John’s approach was that he always tried to lead with reason first. He attempted to find a fair and reasonable resolution between both sides before escalating the matter. But when that wasn’t possible, he did exactly what was necessary to advocate for me and protect my interests as his client. He helped keep me focused on the facts and the legal process rather than emotions, while still guiding me through each step and making sure I understood what was happening. During a stressful time, that level of clarity and professionalism meant a lot. Thanks to their hard work and dedication, the DVRO was ultimately dismissed. I’m very grateful for the representation I received and would strongly recommend John and Ibrahim Law to anyone looking for an attorney who is honest, professional, and truly committed to their clients.

DVRO/Divorce/Child Custody

I’m very grateful for the help and guidance Mr. Ibrahim and his team provided during a very stressful and emotional time in my life. They were patient, professional, and took the time to explain things clearly so I could understand my options and feel confident moving forward. What stood out most to ...me was that he genuinely listened and treated my situation with care and respect. Having someone knowledgeable and calm during such an important matter made a big difference. I truly appreciate their support and would recommend Mr. Ibrahim to anyone who needs someone trustworthy and dedicated to helping their clients. I ended up getting everything I wanted and I honestly could not be in a better and more peaceful place in my life. His team was aggressive and empathtic im an active duty service member they worked with me through everything with such a busy schedule I had. Thank you for getting me my son and my life back.

TRAUMATIZING EXPERIENCE

I hired Mr. Ibrahim to represent me in my divorce case, specifically regarding child custody and spousal support. After our initial conversation, I never spoke with him again directly. Instead, all communication was handled through his paralegal assistant, Elizabeth. We exchanged emails where Mr. Ibr...ahim and another member of their office were copied, but I never received direct communication from him. The only matter he seemed proactive about was reminding me about the retainer fee. Before my first court hearing, Mr. Ibrahim assigned another lawyer named Jason to represent me remotely. Jason and I spoke briefly over the phone. However, the court did not approve the request for a remote appearance, which meant we were required to appear in person, and Mr. Ibrahim would be the one representing me. Our check-in time was scheduled for 8:45 AM, and the hearing was set for 10:00 AM. I arrived early at 8:15 AM and sent Mr. Ibrahim a message to inform him that I was already there. I also emailed his staff to let them know that I was waiting outside the courtroom. This was my first time in court, and I did not know what to expect. 9:00 AM came and passed, then 10:00 AM, and there was still no sign of Mr. Ibrahim—not even a text message. Finally, shortly after 11:00 AM, he called to apologize and said he had car trouble. When we entered the courtroom, I felt overwhelmed and wanted to cry. My ex-husband was already there with his lawyer seated on the opposite side of the courtroom. The judge was clearly unhappy and stated that everyone had been made to wait. Not only was Mr. Ibrahim significantly late, but it also became apparent that he knew very little about my case. At one point, the judge directed a question to me directly because he could not answer it. I have already paid more than $10,000 for his services, and the most recent invoice I received was for an additional $4,600. In my experience, he did little beyond filing my case and treated the situation as a business transaction rather than providing competent legal representation. That first court hearing was very traumatizing.

Unethical, Dishonest, and Overcharged

My experience with Yahya “John” Ibrahim / Ibrahim Law was beyond disappointing. From the start, I was misled about who was actually handling my case—my initial agreement listed attorneys who were either unlicensed in California or affiliated with other firms. Communication was a mess, and I was left ...in the dark about critical case updates. I was also hit with an outrageous bill, full of excessive charges for redundant calls and emails with his paralegal—who spent more time doubting the information I had already provided than actually assisting me. To make matters worse, I later discovered that this same paralegal runs a business promoting legal services without an attorney, directly conflicting with the firm's role. After retaining a new attorney, I immediately saw what competent, ethical representation should look like. I would strongly advise anyone to think twice before hiring this firm.
