TRAUMATIZING EXPERIENCE

I hired Mr. Ibrahim to represent me in my divorce case, specifically regarding child custody and spousal support. After our initial conversation, I never spoke with him again directly. Instead, all communication was handled through his paralegal assistant, Elizabeth. We exchanged emails where Mr. Ibr...ahim and another member of their office were copied, but I never received direct communication from him. The only matter he seemed proactive about was reminding me about the retainer fee. Before my first court hearing, Mr. Ibrahim assigned another lawyer named Jason to represent me remotely. Jason and I spoke briefly over the phone. However, the court did not approve the request for a remote appearance, which meant we were required to appear in person, and Mr. Ibrahim would be the one representing me. Our check-in time was scheduled for 8:45 AM, and the hearing was set for 10:00 AM. I arrived early at 8:15 AM and sent Mr. Ibrahim a message to inform him that I was already there. I also emailed his staff to let them know that I was waiting outside the courtroom. This was my first time in court, and I did not know what to expect. 9:00 AM came and passed, then 10:00 AM, and there was still no sign of Mr. Ibrahim—not even a text message. Finally, shortly after 11:00 AM, he called to apologize and said he had car trouble. When we entered the courtroom, I felt overwhelmed and wanted to cry. My ex-husband was already there with his lawyer seated on the opposite side of the courtroom. The judge was clearly unhappy and stated that everyone had been made to wait. Not only was Mr. Ibrahim significantly late, but it also became apparent that he knew very little about my case. At one point, the judge directed a question to me directly because he could not answer it. I have already paid more than $10,000 for his services, and the most recent invoice I received was for an additional $4,600. In my experience, he did little beyond filing my case and treated the situation as a business transaction rather than providing competent legal representation. That first court hearing was very traumatizing.

Committed, Competent, and Compassionate

John has been really supportive through this process with my 10+ year divorce that has not been settled. The opposing counsel has been impossible but I finally feel empowered with John on my side. He is working with me to make sure I get the best outcome possible and I finally feel confident that he ...will be able to make sure my divorce will be finalized. He has been compassionate and kind and I appreciate all that he is doing for me.

Bringing Order to Chaos

Where to start..? The only thing Mr. Ibrahim will do, is get the best outcome for you, period. He is calm, polite, responsive, financially flexible and extremely professional, and most importantly, you always know where you stand in your case. Unlike civil or criminal courts, where you are essentiall...y fighting the State, in Family Court, the only thing that matters is what's best for all the parties involved, especially the childrens'. But divorce and custody issues are not that simple and straightforward, unfortunately. There will most likely be the obfuscation of facts, intentional deceit, pettiness, mild to outlandish extortion attempts (you can call them "requests"), and outright lying. This is the unsavory bit associated with Divorce and Family Court in general, and it's well earned. And for all those reasons mentioned and many more, are the reasons why you need someone like John in your corner. In an emotionally charged setting you need an attorney that you can not only trust, but one that you deep down inside TRULY believe is fighting for you... this is your family we're talking about! You will not find a better fighter/attorney than Mr. Ibrahim. Certainly not at this price-point. I would, without hesitation, retain Mr. Ibrahim again, for any future family court issues that may arise. #fingerscrossed

Divorcing the Narcissist - Look No Further than Mr. John Ibrahim, Esq.

I had divorced a very volatile, pathological NPD man, and had a very rough five years with the post-divorce manipulation, false allegations, grandstanding, and all the other grandiose disordered behaviors from my ex. I have used multiple lawyers in the past for the divorce and subsequent custody mod...ifications, as you could imagine, because most attorneys do not understand and appreciate the complexity of the situation or the narcissistic personality disorder. I interviewed four other attorneys before I found John Ibrahim. John practices family law exclusively, and is extremely knowledgeable and prepared to handle the exceptional litigation challenges associated with divorcing the narcissist personality. He is very responsive, diligent, and dependable, as well as easy to talk to, patient, empathetic, and kind. John has an unbelievable presence in the courtroom--and this is crucial, especially crucial, when you are involved in divorcing a narcissist. John was able to mitigate the impact of my ex's attempts to abuse by proxy using the court system and CPS. He was very proactive, and was never once swayed by my ex's attempts to use the Covid-19 shutdown to evade the situation. John prevailed in my DVRO hearing and I got a five-year restraining order against my ex, sole legal and physical custody of my children with no visitation for my ex, and John even got the Judge to see there does exist a need for a psychiatric evaluation for my ex--the Judge then ordered my ex to get a psychiatric evaluation and to provide proof of responding to treatment as a requirement for ever getting any visitation in the future. John and his paralegal Connie worked very diligently and professionally to get results that exceeded my expectations. They were very thorough with each of the pleadings, and are both extremely adept at navigating the legal system. I highly recommend Mr. John Ibrahim, Esq.

Amazing representation

The idea of having not only to go through divorce but also moving out of state was overwhelming. I was referred to Mr Ibrahim and after having attended a consultation with him and his team I felt comfortable hiring them to assist with this life Changing event. Unfortunately during this process I face...d several Health issues that lead me to being hospitalized. During this time Mr Ibrahim and his team made sure I was compliant with court requested documents and dates. Out of state employment did not allow me to attend a few court dates but I knew I was well represented and even though the opposing party was very involuntary which caused the process to take longer I was a able to receive results that I was hoping for. I appreciate the entire team as I wouldn’t have been able to do this myself.
