This review should be read and understood in the context of the client’s case. First, this client was being charged at an hourly rate NOT a flat fee amount. As such, she requested NOT to be contacted to avoid charges. Moreover, she complained when she was contacted because she would ask “Am I being charged for this?”. Therefore, her instructions were exactly followed and she was only contacted if necessary to save her money. But then, she would call the office several times speaking to staff and this client was informed by everyone that she would be charged for time spent on her case. Ultimately, this client had unrealistic expectations. She was the restrained party in both a family and criminal Restraing Order Hearing. She was represented by another attorney for the criminal matter and we advised her she needed to handle the criminal matter first before the family matter or it would prejudice her criminal matter severely. She did not want to listen. As such, the attorney client relationship was ended negatively as she refused sound legal advise.
