DO NOT HIRE THIS LAW OFFICE!! They do not do their Fudiciary duties, they lack communication, they lie, and in the end hinder your case due. This office refused to respond to me or the other party's attorney on many occasions. Only responses I would get were generalized saying they were working on it... or reviewing it. However, it came to the point 2 business days before my hearing the other parties attorney filed a 48page Motion in Limine and were going to file sanctions due to never hearing from this attorney on their multiple attempts. Mind you the office never told me this I found out by looking at the court case website and downloading the motion. This office never communicated with me regarding my case until days before my hearing nor did they provide anything to the other party's attorney as in what was requested or even my proposals. In the end after the motion was filed I fired Mr. Baskin due to lack of competence and failure of Fiduciary Duties. Upon pickup of my case file more was proven of his lack of work on my case when I was given all the documents the other party's attorney sent as wellas seeing nothing was prepared for the hearing that was in 2 business days. Even after all of this I followed up with the office on multiple occasions to resolve issues and seek refunds and never got a response or never recieved my requested recordings after months and multiple requests. I have now filed a complaint with California State Bar.

I hired him because I was afraid of loosing my Commercial DL for dui, he seemed like a good option because of ONE single review from a Cdl holder that I saw about him, (my biggest mistake, I know). From the beginning I should have listened to my guts and look somewhere else but fear took the best of... me at the time. He kept postponing my hearings supposedly waiting for evidence from the police about my case, after he got evidence (about a year and a half later) He basically just told me to agree to the charges without even explaining why or even without trying to get me a better deal with DA, I work for a government agency and they require me to have a class A, through the hole process I lost my CDL for one year, and had to be on a restricted license for half a year, luckily I wasn't fired because I am a good employee, but I was demoted and still can't get any promotions since I have to clear all this situation before. Now when I got convicted, the DMV suspended my license again, YES So after I got that letter in the mail, he hesitantly said, (after trying every way to reaching for him and not getting a call back) he would call the mandatory action unit himself, as of this moment I am STILL waiting for his response, I called the mandatory action unit myself and I am in the process of getting a restricted license on my own with an IID installed in my personal car, calling the mandatory action unit wasn't as hard, (you just gotta leave your number and they will call you back) so honestly I don't think he even tried to call them at all, throughout my case I sent him a bunch of substantial information about me, my certificates at work, and letters of support from valuable people in the community. He requested this and I thought he was going to try and get a better deal for me, but that wasn't the case. At the end I think I just got a pretty standard sentence. The mandatory action unit told me that a lawyer can't do anything about the whole situation either, I would have appreciated if he had told me this on the first place, he HAS NOT got back to me with a response about my driver's license. If you are in the process of looking for a lawyer please ASK them beforehand what can be done about your situation and just ask them to be honest about what they have done for persons in the SAME situation. I probably was better off getting taking the heat from the beginning without hiring him. Looking back at how unreachable he was since the beginning and how he hasn't been able to get back to me with a simple answer, gives an idea of how he treated my case and others with the same situation.
