I am so grateful to Joshua and his team; I have been in a custody/visitation battle with the children's father for almost a year and was unrepresented. I was hesitant for years to file for custody of my children due to hearing from so many that the process is long, the court system focuses on mistakes with forms to prolong the already stressful experience & lawyers charge an arm and a leg to help you. This was not the case with Baskin Law Office! ... First their reply was so fast! It was a little too good to be true since earlier I received a fast response from another law office. I consulted with this firm regarding my custody case. Mr. Baskin informed me a whole different perspective I did not know and advised me to act for a favorable solution and agreement on my case. I hired Baskin to prepare paperwork for an ex-parte custody order. He charged me $1500 for something it would have taken his paralegal 45 minutes to an hour to prepare. I paid him an additional $2000 to represent me in the custody proceeding and other than filing an appearance, he did ABSOLUTELY no...thing. He is extremely unresponsive, does not take direction of what you ask him to do. I wrote the responses to the declarations from the opposing side and sent them off to him for review, copying and pasting on July 22nd and he returned them in mid-September after numerous requests and a litany of excuses. He not only consumed all of the retainer with nothing but answering an email and a couple of phone calls plus a couple hours of paralegal work, but he had the audacity to send me a bill for an additional $750. This guy is a joke. Steer clear of him. He smells like a sole practitioner desperate for cash.
