Derek Brent Vosskuhler

Derek took me through the entire divorce process from start to finish. We had to deal with contested custody and visitation issue, support and property division. He was extremely attentive, understanding and represented me both aggressively and professionally. Going through a divorce is always diffic...ult but Mr. Vosskuhler made me feel like I can now move forward with my life. If you have a Family Law case I would highly recommend Mr. Vosskuhler.

I simply cannot recommend Mr. Vosskuhler enough if you have a family law issue. He represented me throughout my divorce and went above and beyond the call of duty. He even gave me his cell phone number and took my calls after hours and on weekends. I am so happy I had him to guide me through my divor...ce as he made a bad time in my life bearable. I hired Mr. Vosskulher to review and enhance a post-nuptial agreement. He was a very nice guy at our initial meeting and assured me that he was an experienced post-nup attorney. But he did not deliver the boilerplate disclosures, certifications, or acknowledgements that he said he would. I had to ...find them on the Internet for inclusion in my postnup. The provisions that he did provide had numerous typos, grammatical errors, and in two cases, incomplete sentences. Had I not corrected them, I feel they would have remained in my postnup. I feel that he misrepresented his experience in this area. He also became less and less responsive to my emails. And finally, he said that his standard retainer was $3K (which I paid upfront) but that I would almost certainly receive a refund because so much of the work was already done. He then attempted to bill me for hundreds of dollars over the retainer amount even though I requested advisement before incurring additional expenses. When I threatened to complain to the CA Bar Association, he rescinded the charges and said it was a billing error. He did provide some valuable input for my postnup but I feel he misrepresented himself. He did not deliver the level of service that I was led me to expect, and in my opinion, his follow-up and communication was poor.

I hired this attorney to handle my basic divorce separation matter. He was unresponsive to the opposing party and unresponsive in returning my e-mails and phone calls. Basic court documents were misfiled and paperwork errors were rampant. Throughout the process, I remained uninformed of the statu...s of the case. The only thing that was ever completed on time was the billing, which didn't correspond to the work completed. Overall, the representation I received was poor. After researching other attorney's fees for the same amount of work, the amount this attorney tried to charge was astronomical compared to the work allegedly completed. I could not in good conscience recommend this attorney to anyone.
