Raj Kumar Shukla

Raj Shukla is an associate attorney with the Orange County, California law firm Brown & Streza, LLP in the Exempt Organizations Department. Raj assists clients with their essential and advanced estate planning needs. These clients range from couples to families, and from mature business owners to entrepreneurs. Prior to joining the firm, he was a student at University of California, Irvine School of Law. While in law school, he participated in pro bono projects such as Street Law and volunteered at the Social Security Clinic. He was also a member of the school’s Bankruptcy competition team held at the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, and the Federal Income Tax competition team. He gained courtroom experience during the summer of 2012 while serving as a Federal Judicial Extern to the Honorable Judge Mark D. Houle in Bankruptcy Court, Riverside Division.

Prior to law school, Raj earned a Bachelor of Arts from Stanford University in 2000, and an MBA and Masters of Real Estate Development (MRED) at the University of Southern California. His post college and MBA experience were primarily high-tech and corporate finance focused. He was a Manager in Business Development at ZipRealty, Inc. (NASDAQ: ZIPR), focusing on strategic online partnerships and fundraising from Venture Capital funds from 2000 – 2003. He was an Assistant Vice President and Credit Officer at US Bank (NYSE: USB) and Wedbush Bank respectively from 2006 – 2011. In this capacity, Raj focused on originating, syndicating, re-structuring, and purchasing Commercial Real Estate mortgage loans. He was also a Credit Administrator at Professional Business Bank in 2011.

His recreational interests include golf, tennis and basketball, while his professional interests include personal investing.
