Keith Patrick Mariano

Keith P. Mariano is an attorney with the Orange County, California law firm of Brown & Streza LLP. His practice centers on mergers and acquisitions, private equity financing, intellectual property and licensing, business contracts, corporate governance and business planning.  Keith’s practice has allowed him to advise entrepreneurs, start-ups and middle market companies in a broad range of sectors such as technology, consumer goods, health, financial services, real estate and insurance.

Prior to joining Brown & Streza, Keith worked as an associate at a boutique Beverly Hills law firm where he advised entrepreneurs on how to obtain private equity financing, comply with securities laws and protect their intellectual property. Keith prepared private placement memoranda for financings up to $5,000,000 that were used to raise funds in a variety of industries, including technology, real estate, consumer products and service. In addition, he has worked extensively with the SEC and with numerous state securities regulation departments to ensure his clients complied with the relevant federal and blue sky laws. As a corollary to assisting growth in his client’s various business ventures, Keith applied for, registered and maintained a portfolio of over 150 trademarks.  

Keith earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School of Los Angeles where he completed the Business Law Practicum, a program focused on analyzing and developing solutions to complex business problems. During law school, Keith participated in the Transactional Negotiation Team and the Scott Moot Court Competition. Additionally, he clerked for the Honorable Candace J. Beason of the Los Angeles Superior Court. Keith received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California, Irvine.

During his free time he enjoys playing the guitar, cycling and traveling to as many different countries as possible. His travels have taken him to the Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, Russia, Ghana, the Philippines, Mexico, Canada, China, Vietnam and Panama. He’s currently eying a trip to India and hopes to explore and experience its rich culture before the year is through.
