Excellent attorney.

I am a real estate developer and a home owner. I have intimate knowledge of the legal process of civil litigations in courts. It is the nature of my that/uptcy, and appeal courts in CA. I WILL NOT retain any attorney, other thank Chris. I never lost a case when he was my lawyer. His style: He is quiet, calm, collected. But don’t let that fool you. When he talks in court or files motions or deposed. others, he IS the alpha male. Unlike other attorneys who write 50-page motions and hope to some stick, Chris files motions that are short, just a handful of pages, are surgical, and they go for the jugular. He is fearless. Again- he is the alpha male, without yelling or screaming or bullying, unlike other attorneys who are empty suits trying to bully others or impress their clients. When Chris represents me, it is I who sleeps at nights in peace. It is the other side that loses sleep. Again, Chris’s calm and confidence are soothing and contagious. Plus, his ability to do legal research or case laws and rules, are unparalleled. He thinks outside the box and truly is a legal mind that is genius. Many times he took victory out of jaws of defeat. Simply the best!

Attorney Chris Barsness is extremely knowledgeable and will make you feel comfortable in an otherwise confusing and difficult process of bankruptcy. I felt as if I had lost control of my financial situation and now the bank was threatening to take my home. Chris protected my home and helped me get back on my feet. Bankruptcy

He represented me in a case that I had which he did not file the right documentation. Because of this action I received a judgment against me. I had to file for bankruptcy because of his actions not representing correctly . He offered to help me with my bankruptcy to make up his negligence on my first case . In the middle of my bankruptcy he decides to excuse himself out of my bankruptcy case leaving me with no other option to hire another attorney . I do not recommend his services to anybody !!

Since this is anonymous and none of this sounds like any client I know, I do not know how to respond. I have never done something or failed to do something that resulted in someone getting a judgment against them and have not offered to handle a bankruptcy after someone got a judgment in a case I represented them on. None of this review is accurate.

Almost lost my home

I hired Chris to help me with a loan modification. Because of his negligence, I almost lost my home. When I contacted my bank directly, they informed me that Mr Barsness did not file the necessary paperwork as he said he had done. Thank god, i took matters into my own hands and saved my home because Chris kept saying he was handling it, and that couldn't have been farther from the truth. Chris was unethical to say the least and almost cost me everything.

I only handled some loan modifications in 2009 and 2010, so I am not sure how an anonymous review in 2014 could have anything to do with me. None of this review sounds like any client I have ever had and I dispute that this review is accurate and if I learn who posted this, I will pursue a defamation claim against them as this is completely fake and false review.
