Biography
Mr. Cowhig has been Certified as a Specialist in Family Law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization since 1998. Mr. Cowhig acquired enough experience handling all levels and types of family law matters within his first four years of practice with a former Orange County Judge to qualify as a Cerified Family Law Specialist upon passing the specialization exam on his first attempt, making him one of the youngest, if not the youngest, Family Law Specialist in the state of California at the time.
Mr. Cowhig is a graduate of the Family Law Trial Advocacy Institute as well as the Advance Family Law Trial Institute presented in Houston, Texas.
Mr. Cowhig is on the Board of Directors of Vocational Steps, a non-profit organization which prepares, instructs and guides adults with mild special needs in how to obtain employment while providing the support necessary to ensure their long term success.

Reasonable
I was involved in a drawn out divorce proceeding lasting over several years. John was with me every step of the way, listened to me rant, was supportive, provided sound advice and most importantly was fee conscious. In the end we got it done and I was able to move on.

I have custody of the children.
