I have a wife and three kids that I care about deeply. I also have deep values that define the way I live my life. I enjoy working in estate planning because it gives me the opportunity to work with business owners and families who, like me, want to protect and provide for their loved ones in a way that reflects their core values. My favorite part of the day is face-to-face meeting with new clients. When new clients first come into my office, they usually have specific concerns to address. I actively address these front-of-mind concerns and then dig deeper to find other potential problems. I talk to clients about their hopes and fears and find ways to realize their hopes and put their fears to rest.
I have prepared our firm to deliver great service to our clients in three key ways. First, having a well-thought out process is essential to delivering great customized estate plans. Our estate planning team knows what to do and can act with skill and efficiency. Second, working with great people is a must when preparing to succeed in the delivery of great services. We have chosen great employees and work together with stellar financial professionals and clients to make a terrific team. Third, I have prepared myself to deliver great service by studying estate planning and staying up-to-date on the ever changing landscape of the law.
One of the reasons I chose to practice estate planning law is because there is always more to learn about the field. There are always new laws, new family situations to work with, and new planning strategies. I love learning because the more I learn, the more value I can provide my clients. The more value I can provide my clients, the more I find my work satisfying. I guess you could say that I love learning because ultimately it makes me happier.
Our team devotes a lot of time to really understanding the needs and desires of each client. That is why our initial consultations sometimes take up to three hours. A trust package is a great tool, but only if it is drafted well enough to avoid potential problems. I am proud to say that in our 17 years of practice, none of the plans that we have created have resulted in family fights or have needed to be probated.
The quality of work that we do is evidenced in our meticulously drafted documents, but more importantly it is evidenced in the praises of our former clients. After delivering a solution to a client’s needs, If the client is at all uncomfortable with the way we have drawn up their estate plan we make changes until our clients are 100% satisfied. We love giving a quality product because it assures our clients that their legacy of love will carry on even when they are gone.
I practice exclusively estate planning, estate administration, and probate law. I have worked in various law offices over the course of a decade before graduating from California Western School of Law in San Diego. I currently practice in Murrieta and San Diego. When I am not in the office, I am throwing my kids around in the pool, playing guitar, bantering with my wife, or participating actively in my church.Â
