James E. Bogan

James Bogan joined Irwin & Associates because he saw a need; and his personal experience and talents could be used to make a difference in the lives of his clients.

Mr. Bogan earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics at the University of California at Santa Barbara. After earning his Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law, he was admitted to practice law in California after passing what is considered the toughest Bar Examination in the country on his first attempt. While at California Western School of Law, Mr. Bogan was a founding member of the Estate Planning Society and achieved a position on the Dean’s List. He also worked with the California Innocence Project, a non-profit dedicated to freeing the wrongfully incarcerated.

As the first attorney in his family, Mr. Bogan strives to make top-notch legal advice accessible to everyone. Growing up, his parents could not afford consulting an attorney on typical legal situations like fender benders, bad personal loans, or simple estate planning. Obtaining legal advice at the start of a conflict is often critical to obtaining a favorable outcome. Mr. Bogan is passionate about being accessible to the community and consistently provides complimentary consultations and case reviews.

During his free time, Mr. Bogan enjoys competing in the San Diego Bar Association’s basketball league and cruising around on his motorcycle along San Diego’s picturesque scenery. Additionally, he dedicates time to the Foundation for Personal Financial Education, a non-profit organization dedicated to financial awareness and Animal Rescuers Without Borders, a group that finds abandoned animals safe a loving homes.
