Lawrence Richard Holmes

I decided to use Mr Holmes as my lawyer to get a K1 Visa for my fiancee in China based on his claims on his web site of being the best with Chinese K1 visas. After receiving a "request for evidence" due to USCIS claiming her divorce decree is not sufficient, Diana told me all I needed to do is get an...other divorce decree to send to them because her divorce dicree is good. After some months we receive a "denial" notice from USCIS saying there is not enough proof she is divorced. At this point Diana does not know what I can do. I asked several times to speak with Mr Holmes with no luck. I have not spoke to Mr Holmes through this whole process. My only communication thus far had been with Diana. At this point I have know idea what to do. Dianna suggests I hire a lawyer in China to get the correct divorce papers. But she had told me the whole time we HAD the correct papers. I finally got to speak with Mr Holmes. He also suggested I hire a lawyer in China. But why do that? I hired Mr Holmes firm. He tells me he does not know what documents I need. WHAT? I then ask for half of my money back because he obviously does not know what needs to be done and in turn did not uphold his part in his "contract". He gets very rude, says "it's not gonna happen". He told me to "get the correct documents and I will send them in". I asked what do I need to get? He says "I don't know. Hire a lawyer in China to get what you need". I asked for my money back again. He said "I can see we are not going anywhere with this" and hung up on me. I found another lawyer (in the USA) who knew what the problem was. I would not recommend Mr Holmes law firm for Chinese visas.

I could not be more satisfied with the professional service Mr. Holmes and my main contact Diana provided! They were professional and knowledgeable in every respect. I was especially impressed with the very quick responses and in keeping me informed. I was equally impressed on how quickly my fiancee ...was able to get her K-1 visa from China. The amount of paperwork required in getting a visa from China is daunting, and I commend Mr. Holmes and Diana for their tireless and accurate processing of all paperwork and documents required. I don't think that I would have been able to accomplish this on my own. I highly recommend Mr. Holmes and his staff for an exemplary job.

Dear Diana and Larry.  I had my interview and I passed.   It only took 40 minutes.   The immigrations officer kept telling me what a great lawyer You are.   He said the paper work you guys submitted was perfect.   He said it was unbelievable and he had never seen anything like it before!!!!!!!! ...   I wanted to thank you both for helping me and doing such a wonderful job.  I am very, very happy.   I am wishing you and your families a happy and wonderful Christmas.   Best Regards,  Lana

Contacted the attorney, Chris was very nice on the phone, explaining how he will handle the case. After they have received payment, the matter was passed down to a low end paralegal (Kareema), that has very little knowledge in the matter, but since the case was "delegated" to her, there was nothing t...o be done. After the case was granted additional time for an appeal, this law office decided to do a little of extortion. Knowing of the deadline, they have demanded more money in order to file the case. You decide if their other reviews are real, 100% success? i think not, not even standing behind their own clients - is shameful . You decide or if you want them to take up your case, if i were you pick another office with real reviews, and check forums as i am doing now :/, live and learn.

There was nothing at all I could ever say negative about the service I got from this law office. They were everything I needed and wanted in terms of guiding me and getting me through this immigration process. Their predict on timing and how things went was absolutely spot on. it was great to be able... to have complete faith in my attorney on such a delicate matter.
