Brilliant, hard-working, and really knows how to negotiate complex legal issues at a reasonable price.

Steve agreed to take on a minority shareholder grievance against the principles. This is the little guys taking on a nefarious giant. He not only had to develop a winning strategy but he also had to get all of the minority shareholders in the lawsuit to not only agree to the strategy, but also to s...tay on point and not wander from the core objectives ( no small task ) . He collected and reviewed huge volumes of documents, synthesized the elements, and developed a winning strategy. His attention to detail was very impressive. Then he had to explain it all to us, which he did expertly. The net result is that we recovered all of our initial investment at a very reasonable price, without going to trial. This was an amazing outcome and certainly a lot more than I expected at the onset of the lawsuit. He has a talented staff that was delightful to work with. I have worked with many attorneys in the last 4 decades and he is clearly one of the best. Thank you Steve for protecting my interests and recovering my money.

Outstanding litigator

Steve Coopersmith is an attorney who not knows the law but understands risk management. His attention to detail and tenacity while facing my opponent's counsel was phenomenal. I was very nervous going into my case but after seeing Steve in action I seriously didn't think of it again. He's tough and... really knows how to defend you. My grandfather always said, "if you want to fight a giant, you need to be a giant". Well Steve is a giant; I knew at the end of this, whatever the details of my negotiations, that I was well represented. I can't say enough about him. I highly recommend him and I know you will be in good hands with him in your corner. If you're reading this and you're up against him- well- good luck.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
