I’m not one for writing reviews. But for Patrick Kline I will make an exception. Such was my unbelievable experience of having him as my Lawyer, and my respect and admiration for the man.
If you’re facing criminal charges, as I was, you’re going to need a good Criminal Defence Attorney. Ideally..., the best your budget allows. Enter - Patrick Kline.
I was facing a Felony charge (a strike offence) and the stakes couldn’t have been higher. If convicted the implications included serious jail-time, being unable to continue/resume my professional career, losing everything I own, being ripped away from my kids and deportation (I am not currently a U.S. Citizen). It was rather a stressful time, to say the least.
Upon my first meeting with Patrick, he allayed my worst fears and brought a calm and assuredness to my plight. He explained my situation to me clearly and helped me understand my options, potential outcomes and the approach we should take moving forward. He always asked for my thoughts and opinion.
The American Criminal Justice system is a crooked minefield. Navigating your way through it is quite intimidating and hopeless at times. This is where Patrick came in to his element. I left that first meeting knowing that I was in good hands and that ultimately I was going to be alright. And no matter what the outcome, I was going to get the best defence possible.
Patrick was always available. I seldom, if at all had to reach out. He was in constant dialogue and communication with me. Keeping me apprised and updated. Always on it. His dedication to my case was astonishing. Many-a-night he burned the midnight oil working on my defence. One day he said to me “your case is my life”. And it showed. He genuinely cared.
On first impressions Patrick seemed quite unassuming. later, I would come to learn that this was one of his many gifts. An Art. But make no mistake, Patrick is a killer. An absolute beast. I saw this first hand in the courtroom when cross examining key prosecution witnesses and the alleged victim. He has great instincts. He lulled them in to a false sense of security. They put their guard down. They made mistakes. Were inconsistent. Told mistruths and blatant lies. Patrick pounced. He didn’t miss a thing. Pressed, prodded and probed, set traps and dug them out until he got to the truth. Mightily impressive.
Now you might say Patrick was just doing his job. Doing what he was paid to do. Perhaps. But Patrick went above and beyond, of that you can be sure. And he has something that you cannot teach. You are born with it. He has something. You’ve either got it or you ain’t. And Patrick most certainly has ‘it’. The X-Factor.
It was also apparent the effect he had on the Jury members. They liked him. Hung on his every word and seemed captivated by him at times. In stark contrast to the effect the prosecutor had on them. This is important. It can be the difference between winning and losing.
I can’t speak of him highly enough. Of his professionalism and dedication. He was nothing short of first class. I have no doubt that if anyone else was representing me I wouldn’t have got the outcome I did (Not Guilty).
The best way I can describe it is Patrick can just ‘play’. Sometimes in life you meet people that are at the top of their profession, whatever that may be. Or on their way to greatness. They are more naturally gifted, skilled and talented than the others. For whatever reason. Born with a god given gift. Well that sums up Patrick perfectly. Patrick can just ‘play’. I can’t say it any better than that.
I came in to all this seeking a good Lawyer and a not guilty verdict. But I got much, much more. I also made a friend.
At this point I would like to wish you the best of luck. But you make your own luck. And you can do that by giving Patrick Kline a call.
-Cheers.
