I have been practicing criminal law for 32 years. My experience is vast having represented over 2500 people and trying approximately 200 felony, military and misdemeanor cases in federal, military and state court. I have represented people on felonies such as murder, attempted murder, mayhem, assaul with a deadly weapon, robbery, drug raccketeering (RICO), drug sales, gang crimes, drug manufacturing and smuggling, alien smuggling, ex-felon in possession of weapons, domestic violence, child abuse, sexual exploitation of a minor, child pornogrphy, child molestation, arson and misdemeanors such as driving under the influnece (DUI), assault and battery, under the influence of drugs, simple possession, possession of drug paraphanelia and reckless driving, child abuse/endangerment, etc.
People who are charged with a crime are facing one of the most difficult and serious situations that one can face in life. They are overwhelmed with concerns like can I get out of jail on bail, how will I pay for legal representation, will I do jail time and for how long, is there an alternative to doing jail time, how will my family be affected, will I lose my job, will I lose my professional license, how can I support my family if i get jail time, and what will my family, friends and colleagues think. As an experienced attorney I understand these concerns and have the experience to minimize the harm that being charged with a crime can have. I know the alternatives available to avoid jail time like work furlough, drug and alcohol rehabilitation and a half-way house.
I understand that for each person charged with a crime, no matter how serious, it is the most significant and important obstacle that they are facing. No matter how serious, I treat each persons case as if it were the most important case that I am handling, giving it the utmost attention. I keep in regular contact with each client, return their calls promptly, review the discovery (police reports) with them, explain the law to them carefully, provide them with the options avaiable, discuss case strategy, prepare their case and keep them informed of any changes in their case's status.
Providing legal representation to a person charged with a crime can be expensive. I charge reasonable fees and am willing to work out a reasonable payment plan for serving you.
