In more than 40 years of trial experience in California, Federal and Military Courts, Mr. Adair has represented thousands of clients in both minor and major criminal cases, capital murder cases to driving under the influence.
Originally from the East Coast, and born into a Navy family, he graduated from Georgetown University, with a BS in Physics, where he played Lacrosse and was captain of the Swimming Team. He then attended Villanova Universtiy School of Law. Passing the bar in both Maryland and the District of Columbia, he entered the Navy, serving in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps (Navy Attorney) for five years and was certified as a Military Judge. His time in the Navy included 6 months aboard ship in the Mediterranean, Survival School, and volunteering for a year in Vietnam at Danang. His final two years on active duty were as the attorney for the Naval Hospital San Diego, then the largest Military Hospital in the world. Mr. Adair retired from the Judge Advocate General’s Corps in the Naval Reserve as a Commander.
After transitioning from active duty to the Naval Reserves, Mr. Adair entered into the private practice of law in San Diego. He has represented thousands of people in both Federal and State Court including over 45 murder cases, some of which were the most serious and notorious murder cases in San Diego history. Mr. Adair has represented clients in cases involving sex crimes and the use of computers in sex crimes, conspiracy cases, drug smuggling and distribution ranging from low level participants to drug cartels.
