Nothing prepares you for the messiness of divorce, especially one involving kids. But having Hilary as an advocate was a huge win! Over the years of a rocky marriage, I have hired two lawyers and consulted with several more. I've been on the receiving end in court of some brutal, self-interested characters, who seem mostly interested in lining their pockets by racking up billable hours. <insert lawyer joke here, amirite?> H...ilary is truly one of the good guys in a field of - let's put this charitably - mixed actors. To start, she's incredibly competent. She knows case law and is up to date on the recent rulings in the field. She's also incredibly communicative, able to set up a meeting on relatively short notice and be there for you when you need her. But more importantly, she genuinely tries to see through to the heart of the disagreement between you and the other party, whether that's opposing counsel or your spouse. She helps come up with creative solutions to some of the biggest problems in a divorce. And it's that quality - being able to see things clearly from both sides - along with proposing solutions that de-escalate, that are in the child's best interest, that help resolve the situation that most impresses me about Hilary. I will always be grateful that Hilary (and Paul Boyer, her partner) came into my life. Many thanks.

With everything going on during the pandemic there are a lot of unknowns out there as to how to proceed. Ms. Boyer was extremely professional and knew her stuff when dealing with child custody issues. She was able to put my mind at ease with how to proceed during this difficult time. I will not hesit...ate to go with her again if I need any more help.

I read something someone wrote which I thought would describe Hilary perfectly "It’s not the law firm that establishes (a lawyer's) reputation, it is (his/her) integrity, hard work, and zealous advocacy." That's Hilary in a nutshell. Apparently San Diego legal community is small compared to other ...municipalities.  My complicated case taught me that you want not only an exceptional advocate by yourside, but also someone that is likable and adaptable so they can navigate and fare all "weather" conditions and personality types to your benifit, and that's outwardly speaking about Hilary. Inwardly, when I was at my lowest, most vulnerable, the lonest, most confused, conflicted, most scared, worried, angry, Hilary lended me her shoulder to lean on.  Sometimes it felt like she was my only ally in the world.  God knows during those pivotal moments I truly needed someone like Hilary to guide me gently but firmly and decisively onto the path of recovery and to devise strategies that were win-win...and she did it with such humility and sincerity. If you're someone in the pit of divorce battles, especially with children in toll, Hilary would surely be your champion and passionately so!
