Excuses

There may be an impression that this rating is an outlier or from an unreasonable person due to the fact that I gave Harold the lowest marks across the board. This is not true. Here is the reason behind my dislike for Hal. Over a period of more than 10 years Hal has neglected to take any action ...or notify me about a small case that I entrusted him with while I served active duty in the USMC. Approximately 11 years after I hired him, 4 combat deployments, graduate school and numerous moves he has still not taken any action and refuses to answer my emails or phone calls. When I can get a hold of him, which is roughly once a year, he has continually given excuses as to his negligence. I have been more than patient with him and will shortly pursue legal action against him unless he resolves my issue within one month. Harold has obviously deemed me a low priority. While my case may not be high profit this is an issue of professionalism and integrity. Do not use him as a lawyer.

It is a violation of the ethical rules for an attorney to file a lawsuit that lacks merit. Unfortunately, regardless of the amount of research and investigation an attorney might employ, some clients simply don't have grounds for litigation. It's also unfortunate when they refuse to accept that opinion - they can always seek another. - HH
