Biography
A native of Greenville, South Carolina, Hal Hewell earned a B.A. in English from the University of Virginia, and an M.A. in Journalism from the University of South Carolina in 1986. After several successful years as a newspaper reporter and editor, Hal decided that he could more effectively help people through the practice of law. He attended California Western School of Law, receiving his J.D. and admission to the State Bar of California in 1994.

Replied last March 12, 2013It is a violation of the ethical rules for an attorney to file a lawsuit that lacks merit. Unfortunately, regardless of the amount of research and investigation an attorney might employ, some clients simply don't have grounds for litigation. It's also unfortunate when they refuse to accept that opinion - they can always seek another. - HH
