Definitely regret hiring her as a lawyer. I did appreciate how she went to most of the court dates but that is all the good I can say. Her communication was extremely poor and she put no care into the case at all. Nothing was clearly communicated with me throughout the whole course. I always had to c...all and ask for updates/ when my court was. Then I called and asked where my court date would be because I was never informed and she just sent a room number in an email. Additionally I hired her because she said we had a good chance at fighting the case then when she showed up 35 minutes late to court told me that we weren’t fighting it. I had no knowledge of this till we were in court. I could’ve hired a cheaper option if that was the case. Also when she arrived she had no idea I had completed certain things and had sent them over previously until she was told and looked at my file. I don’t feel that there was any care or effort put into my case at all. This was demonstrated by the fact that I never actually got any email or call from her during the whole process only from her paralegal. Only now after the case has she contacted me directly.

I hired Joni 6 months ago due to a false TRO allegations made against me by my former spouse whom also had CPS involved and on her side which in turn hindered me from being in contact with my son whom was only 4 months old at the time. During the last 6 months Joni made me feel as if I didn’t need to... worry about anything and that she had my entire situation handled, although I wasn’t able to see my son and had the fear of possibly losing the ability to see him indefinitely I had the utmost confidence that Joni was going to make it so that I could see him once again. Watching Joni at work give me every bit of confidence that she would make this happen. Every need or question I had during this lengthy 6 months never went unmet or unanswered. Joni has definitely put in more work and time in my case than i could have asked any other lawyer to do, especially for what I paid her.(she definitely deserves more) During every meeting and every trial Joni made me feel unbelieveably comfortable with her sense of humor and positive outlook. She is unbelievably loyal and took the case as seriously as if the outcome directly effected her life. I have grown close to Joni and am actually saddened to not be able to see her as much as i have the past 6 months. I can’t say enough good things about her if you are shopping around for an attorney stop now and hire Joni because you will undoubtedly be hiring the best of the best as well as being as stress free as you could in any situation where you have to appear in court.
