When my father died last fall, I had to make the difficult decision to move my life back to Washington state, to support my mother with dementia- so she would not have to move into senior living. Due to circumstances, I had to terminate my lease with the apartment complex where I resided, 7 months ea...rly. The managers at the complex refused to accept my 30 day noticed, because I did not attach money to it. They proceeded to bill me for 7 months, over $18,000, which included late fees and time that I had not yet incurred. A contractor failed to remove a lien on my house from 1996 after the work was paid for. This showed up during a title search.
