i have no idea who this guy is. Apparently I got the DDA to drop the charges, but he only rates me a three. He could be a fake

Honesty, Experience, and Results

I've known Bill Nimmo for ten years. His experience is extensive and he works hard for his clients, but that's not why he wins. Bill Nimmo wins because he understands people and why they do things. He sees the entire case from the beginning and just knows how to position himself to get the best resul...t. I know dozens of criminal defense lawyers but I can't think of another trial lawyer I'd rather have defending me if I were charged with a serious crime.

William Nimmo gave me a second chance at having a life outside of prison walls!

In 1997 after spending the entire previous 2 years incarcerated and fighting my case from county jail, I sat convicted of Torture and I was sentenced to a Mandatory Life Sentence! My Lawyer who shall remain nameless, had been assuring me over and over that "We got this and you'll be leaving through ...the back door" and I believed him until they found me guilty of 12 felony charges with count 1 Torture ( Mandatory life sentence) being the worst of them all. I sank into a deep and hopeless depression unsure of what my next step should be so I started Praying & my Family started searching for a Lawyer who could help us. After my conviction every Lawyer my family spoke with told them the same thing " It's over with" or "All you can do is Hope for an appeal." My Family was devastated and none of us could believe what had just befallen us. My lawyer had literally B.S. & lulled us all into a trance & fooled us with his song and dance, and now after all was said and done, my life was over as well! It all was too much to swallow. I had been rail-roaded into the first Torture Conviction since The new torture law had been implemented. Basically I had been "made an example of ." Finally, after some searching someone recommended Mr. William Nimmo to My Family & Thank God they did. When he came to see me, He immediately put my mind at ease & I began to feel like my prayers had been answered after all. As we talked & he told me that we were not going to waste our last chance on an Appeal but that we WERE going to ask for a new trial on grounds of In-Effective Council, that old yet always welcomed feeling of relief began to grow until it actually pushed my heart back into its rightful spot and for the first time in 22 months my heart was no longer in my stomach and I had some hope for a future. Mr. Nimmo did get us a New Trial which is basically un-heard of and Mr. Nimmo shed the light of reality on the events that took place on that day and he did prove did .that I did not torture anyone. After all was said and done Mr. Nimmo had my life sentence over turned and reduced down to a lesser charge of assault with a deadly weapon which carried an eight year sentence. He told my family he could get it down further if we weren't happy with the eight. I declined the offer because I did commit the crime that I was now being convicted of and sentenced for. I felt Eight years was fair and that's where it ended. I did the eight years and made it out of there alive. Today I am off of Parole, I own a home and I share it with the woman of my dreams ( my wife) and our 3 awesome doggies. I honestly owe my life and happiness to William Nimmo because without his keen knowledge of the Law and his amazing ability to shed light on the truth I would be sitting in a cell somewhere, trying to get through the holidays instead of celebrating them in my own home. Thanks Again Mr. Nimmo. Sincerely Kevin W. San Diego, CA

Trust this man with your life!

I would like to share my story. I’m usually a very private person and keep my personal life private. But, if this account could be useful to another person finding themselves in a similar position. About 2 ½ years ago I was pulled over and removed from my vehicle at the gunpoint of 5 uniformed polic...e officers. I went thru what I later learned was routine felony arrest procedures. What is routine for a cop was traumatizing for any normal law abiding person. I was then brought to the local police station and interrogated by a detective. She proceeded to repeatedly to accuse me of horrible sexual acts against a close family member. I was half in shock from the immediately preceding event and in disbelief from the accusations read to me. It was only until I requested legal counsel was I then transferred to inmate status in Santa Ana. Regardless of what you believe or have ever seen on any movie or TV show regarding our jail or custody system in California – this is one place you do not want to be! I wasn’t until several days later was I able to even make contact with family members who were frantic about my unexplained disappearance. I learned of Bill Nimmo from a pamphlet circulation ‘inside’. Although it was written and produced by Mr. Nimmo’s office it was a no-nonsense, deadly serious presentation of his skills and experience regarding high crimes such as what I was accused of. An 800 call to his office and arranging for a retainer brought him up from San Diego for an interview. It’s hard to say who thinks of whom upon first meeting but he was thorough and brutally honest with me about the fight I was about to undertake. I was facing a $500,000 bail. There was no way I could produce funds or property to secure this. I was facing the next years in custody while my case unfolded. Bill fought for me in more than one bail hearing against a seasoned prosecuting attorney who seemed to have a personal interest in retaining me. Bill was successful in getting my bail reduced to an amount manageable for me to arrange. Two weeks later when I did secure bail I was out to at least fight from a position of security and mobility. Over the course of the next 2 years I spend at least 100 hours with Bill and his team. He brought in a crack investigator who interviewed me beyond the point my mother knows me. He dug into my life and the life of the family member who was accusing me to reveal details and inconsistencies that became crucial in later proceedings. Bill drove up from San Diego so many times to either continue our interviews or explore details and strategies and legal options and directions. As trial date approached I could see Bill’s demeanor change to a more focused and organized leader. He directed me in courtroom protocol and procedure and took the time to explain the structure and timeline of what was before me. During trial there were a few curve balls thrown at us and Bill was able to argue thru them fiercely. Since I was completely upfront and honest with him during our interviews in investigations he was completely informed and used that information as the best defense one can have. During closing arguments Bill was animated and aggressive and explosive. He had his argument timed out and built it up to an almost climactic event. Deliberation lasted the whole next day and… I’m here to write this story today from the security and safety of my home. Thank you Bill. Thank you for fighting like you had a personal stake in this trial. My family thanks you and your team for the long hours and the diligent efforts needed to ‘make this go away’. Ask me if I would recommend Bill Nimmo as a serious trial lawyer.
