Troy Owens, a San Diego native, is the owner and sole attorney of The Law Office Of Troy P. Owens, Jr., A.P.C in Chula Vista, CA. Before earning his law degree, Mr. Owens gained experience in the criminal justice system by working for the U.S. Marshal’s Service Violent Crimes Task Force. Afterward, he focused on his legal education and earned his law degree from the University of San Diego, School of Law. Upon graduation, he spent time performing civil litigation for a large law firm and later accepted a position as a Public Defender for the San Diego County Office.
In 2016, Troy founded The Law Office Of Troy P. Owens, Jr., A.P.C. Running a private practice has provided Mr. Owens with more time to work one-on-one with his clients. He has handled a wide range of injury and criminal cases, including high-profile cases involving kidnapping and murder. Do not hire
Do not hire him. I had a bit of a complicated DUI case and I was extremely upfront with him about it. He was very enthusiastic at first and said he would handle getting my DUI classes and Volunteering transferred to another state when I had to suddenly move, and get my driver's license unsuspended ...

Replied last June 6, 2019Ms. Moran, I am sorry to see that you are still upset after our disagreement two years ago. Having reviewed our representation agreement and your case file, my office was hired to do four things: recall a warrant that was issued a month before you hired me, get authorization to do a DUI class out of state, convert your public work service to volunteer work, and re-set fine payments that had defaulted. Those are the only things mentioned in our contract. We did all four of those things within weeks of being hired. You contacted my office to provide additional services and I gave you a price to handle those additional services. You opted not to hire my office for those services. I hope all is well and that you never need a criminal attorney in the future.
