Ms. Madrid is an outstanding defense attorney that I would rehire in an instant should I ever need such a person. I was arrested in western SB county with the charge of DWI. Once I was arraigned the court advised me to seek an attorney because the charges were very serious. I was definitely intimi...dated and worried that I would get a conviction and land up in a world of hurt. I met Erica because she was close to home. But once I talked with her I found her very attentive and concerned about my case. She advised me she would requisition the video and arrest reports from the Sheriffs dept. In about a week, she got back to me to advise of her proposed strategy with the courts. I agreed to her recommendations, waited the many months until the court date, appeared in court as Erica argued in front of the judge justification for charge reduction. The court accepted her arguments, and agreed to reduce the charge to a non-alcohol reckless driving offense. As a result, Erica was able to transform a potentially very serious, life and economic impacting event into a situation that I have been able to manage. I will also comment that it seemed she had a lot of respect at the courthouse, and was able to move quickly through all the administrative paperwork requirements. Such things can take huge amounts of time, particularly if you have an atty unfamiliar and impatient. Such attorneys turn abrasive and the courts do everything to slow the case down to make the pain worse. Erica is different and got me through the paperwork VERY fast. I would not hesitate to recommend Erica as your first choice as a defense attorney.
